The XRS R7 provides total protection and peace of mind with the new Super-Xtreme Range Superheterodyne Technology, detecting all 12 radar/laser bands with its super-fast lock-on detection circuitry. Comes with Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery Pack, the compact Remote Display Unit/Controller brings all the controls for your Main Radar/Laser Detector Unit as well as GPS-based Locator functions to your fingerstip, using IntelliLink 2.4GHz Digital Wireless Remote System (see GPS-based Locator Features below for details). This detector has very good range I can pick a rader gun up to 2 miles away ka X K Ku band.Also other futures that makes great for road travel.

I like the new Cobra XRS R7 because people will not see
your radar or wiring or the display . I do not turn on the remote, you only need the remote to setup the divise. The sharp voice is better than the old models. Remote will not turn on automaticaly, each time you start the car manually you have to hit the power button. The remote battery is very weak. The whole idea is good but, they need to work on their remote.

Easy to install and use. This radar detector is sleek and hides easily. I have had this for 3 months now and has saved me countless times. Also, the emergency vehicle detector is nice to have, since I usually like to have my music turned up, this will give me an extra warning that I need.

Would recommend to anyone.
