I bought this for a gift and was quite happy with how it looked. I'm only not giving it 5 stars because the cover that they include in the package isn't great and very easily got water into the pit when it rained. If you get this, get a better cover before you find yourself with wet wood. It's safe and sturdy and otherwise, as expected. The cut-outs on the sides make a nice light and also function to let air into the pit to keep the fire roaring. The cut-outs also have some mesh on the inside in order to keep any flints from coming out. You can't see that in the pictures, but it's nice that it's there.
