stay away,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Coby CX-38 Portable AM/FM/TV/Weather Band Radio (Electronics)
i am very dipleased with this product.I had a great deal of difficulity in getting most fm stations and no weather station at all. I had to constantly move the radio to different locations with not much better results. The tv stations were not to bad at times and other times terrible. It looks nice and is light weight and can be plugged into a wall outlet. Other than that I cannot truly recommend this product

This review is from: Coby CX-38 Portable AM/FM/TV/Weather Band Radio (Electronics)
Ordered an inexpensive RCA portable from a different vendor and they sent the Coby CX-38 instead. At first I was upset. Then after running the radio through it's capabilities, was quite pleased considering the price. It looks good and performs very nicely.
Love the plug-in AC power cord as opposed to the bulky AC adapters or cords that need to be forced back into the back of the radio. Nice touch. And amazingly, found some old shaver cords that, with a little creative modification, work in the radio! So now have extra cords for plugging in the radio in various places. This is a case of shipment error turning out to be very satisfying! Had I known how nice this radio is, would have ordered it in the first place.

Coby cx38,
A Kid's Review
We Purchased the cx38 at big lots, I think its worth the $[...] we paid. Only flaw is that some people may have problems getting the lower tv stations in indoors, I was able to get them in on the deck). And the Weather Band is actually on the same setting as FM, instead of TV2. The upper Tv channels simply dont function, and there is just a slight hiss on the tv2 band. I use it with headphones and listen to it when I surf the web at my computer, and with this means that the way I use it, it Becomes a personal stereo system. I only use the speaker when I want to use it without it being on my desk.
