I was not sure what to expect as I had ordered and been using the Arkon Amplified Speakers which are decent but the sound quality is not very good and the volume is no good either. . . .But when I set up the Coby's I was really surprised at the quality of sound and the volume!!! It's also nice to have the option to plug in and not waste batteries. Very Happy with my order:))

Sound quality is pretty good given the size of the unit. There is no woofer of course, so bass response is relatively weak. The system will fold flat and fit in your pocket, allowing you have a mini stereo system any time any where. I wanted to play mp3's in my aircraft hangar. Given the hollow shell building, the sound carries to all 3,000 sq. ft. Sound quality is acceptable but not quite as good as a larger "boom box" stereo.

These speakers do an excellent job from a small package. They fill the room with sound, and the quality is quite good. I bought them for a second time, because my first set was stolen. That is how much I liked them.

For an inexpensive system - it sounds pretty good. My only other wish would be that it charges my ipod too!

These speakers are small, compact and portable. I connected a 2 GB mp3 to it and was immediately impressed by the quality and volume of the sound. If you are looking for simple porability and good design at an affordable price, this is the one you want. I use mine for work and I'll use it for camping. It runs on AA batteries or with the included AC adapter. When it is folded up the speakers are protected behind a plastic cover which doubles as a base. I would highly recommend this product.

I use these speakers daily at work. They are excellent for the size and price. My only minor complaint is that the speakers can slightly distort if I have my Ipod volume to high combined with the speaker volume at a high level, it's an easy fix to lower one of the volume levels. I would rec. these to anyone.

I was looking for Ipod speakers, finally I decided to buy these coby ones, they are small, easy to carry and give a great sound when they are used in small rooms. The energy source however is a little bigger and it causes some disturb to transport in a small bag. I recommended it.

I was impressed with the sound this little unit has. It is room filling. The sound is chrisp and clear. One warning, when you fold the unit for storage you will hear a click. The cover has locked over the speakers. To open the unit, gently push upward on the cover!!! I love having a power supply included for the price. I wish it had come in a box for later storage insted fo that stupid shrink wrap!

I bought them after hearing a set belonging to a friend. I was impressed by the sound for such a small set. I am happy with mine, though I only use them when I am travelling... they are perfect to listen to your music in a hotel room, where normally TV sets are available only. Battery duration is average, though 4 AAs are cheap. You can use the included transfomer, but it weights twice as much as the set. It is not a switching supply, but a real transformer, so I prefer to leave it at home.

Love the speakers. My granddaughter wanted a big stereo system in her bedroom but since her room is so small, that was not feasible. I purchased the speakers hopeing it would satisfy her need to listen to her favorite songs without taking up so much space. She loves the sound and no longer asks for the larger system. She also loves the fact she can just fold it up and stick it in her overnight bag when staying with friends. My only complaint now is she turns it up so loud, it drowns out anything I may be listening to in another room.
After hearing how much she enjoyed the gift, I also purchased two more for my other grandchildren.
