I got it for my 18 mon old, to use on a long plane journey to India, along with an extra battery. The player looks nice, isn't too bulky, and reasonably sturdy. However, it is slow (press next chapter for a DVD, and it takes considerably longer than a regular DVD player). Battery life is enough for one movie. It doesn't have dual headphone jacks, nor does it have FF/REW/SUBTITLE buttons on the unit itself, need to use remote for that. Swivel feature is cool. Doesn't come with a decent bag. The remote doesn't have volume control (no big deal though). I also had it freeze the picture (audio kept playing) on multiple occasions mid-movie, and had to do a little rewind/fast forward (whose buttons aren't on the unit) to get it moving again.

All in all, a decent inexpensive portable DVD player.

This little player is great. It is kind of loud when it spins up, but its not all that bad. The picture is fantastic, sound is also suprisingly good quality, it also has all the features of higher priced ones. I love that it is a swivel screen and comes with a case to hang it on the back of the seat with. it even has audio and video in, I am going to try to hook up the PS2 in the car and see if it works, which I am pretty sure it will. I happy enough with this product that I bouight 2 of them one to keep each kids quite in the car on long trips. Hope this helps you select your player.

Hey there this was my 13th portable dvd player I buy one every other month or so, after they get a lil scratched I sell them. Anyways im very hard on these and this held up better then most, not to mention the eople below me have oviously never bought a portable dvd player before. This unit does have a Rewind and Fastforward feature you just have to hold down the sceen skip feaature button 3sec's to access the 2-32x speeds. Most portables dont have the resume feature. Like i said i have have quit a few portable and i would reccomend almost any Coby DVD player there normally the best of the bunch, on durability and sound. This unit has about 3hours of battery life and i have at one point left it playing on loop plugged in for over 78hours.

Read up on what you buy ALWAYS but bear in mind some people are never happy. Good Luck

When i first received this player, after the first 3 weeks the screen just went blank but Amazon was great and sent me another one right away. this new one ive had for 3 weeks and hasnt gone bad yet. i like that everything is included (remote, headphones, and a little case). i recommend this dvd player for anyone that has an overnight job like me.

After owning this DVD Player for about a month, I really like it. The picture is good and the volume is plenty loud. The only down side is that it doesn't come with a good case for use out of a car. Overall, I would say this was a good buy.

I live in a foreing country, our highways and other routes are full of holes, and my son can enjoy his dvd's without a single pause, simply don't jump, the image is great, the sound is great. The case is just for the car, is not for transport the unit out of the car... excelent product with excelent price.

I was very excited to get this DVD player for my wife. She used her old one all the time and this seemed to have comparable features and a good price tag. Unfortunately, sometimes you get what you pay for. The first unit I purchased broke after 3 months of use. It would not recognize discs anymore. I got a replacement and now 3 months later the brand new unit (not refurbished) is doing the same thing! Coby will take it back for limited warranty service (even though I am 3 days outside the 90 day window), but they are making me pay for shipping to them and then I have to enclose an $18 money order for return shipping. But what are they going to do, send me a 3rd unit that will break? I am very upset about this and want to warn you that if you plan on using this on any sort of regular basis, beware: it will die. So long, Coby!

This portable DVD has a poor quality, I bought it one year ago and right now is not working. One day stop to work. I used it in my car for my baby, I never move it from my car and right know I need to expend more money to buy another one.
As an advice: buy the less expensive portable DVD they will stop to work in one or two years. These are disposable electronics.

It's a good product at the first time, but the short Battery life is a big problem to a product portable because you lost all mobility to use the device wherever you want do it, this should be ones of the principal benefits itens of the product. So I recommend the product if you don't worried to use it always conected

My child loves it too. Nice rotating screen but skips disks whenever the car goes over a bump or a pothole.
