Excellent sound. I did replace the headphones because I use it while riding a bicycle. Lot's of storage... can't beat the price!!

I would not recommend that you buy this player for the original list price. I found mine for $5--a great deal for someone like me who doesn't want all the fanciness and frufu that comes with most players. I just wanted to hear my music and have something little to carry. I got this item yesterday, and so far, it is working. There are five simple buttons: Play/pause, forward, backward, + and - for volume. To turn this item on, hold down the Play/pause button (same to turn it off). There is a little light that blinks when music is playing and stays steady when music is not playing. This player is run on battery power (AAA) and cannot be charged through the computer. It plugs right into the computer to get music and also comes with a cord that can also be used. No screen at all, and the music plays in the order you load it onto the player. Is advertised to hold 240 songs.

For a cheap price, this is a great little player.

I got this as a gift for a 11 yr old who breaks/loses her MP3 players so the cheaper the better it was and it works OK for her especially because she doesn't have an extensive music library yet.

One of the downsides is that it doesn't charge from the laptop but requires AAA batteries so it is useful to get a battery charger with it. It is good to take on long airplane rides however because you can change the battery.

It came with free music from amazon.com but I lost the coupon and we haven't used it.
