I bought these thinking how bad can they be? I needed some ... headphones to replace my ones for listening to music off my computer at work. I'm not a sound afficionado, but even I could tell the difference. Everything sounded flat. I ended having to throw them out and buy another pair. I ended up getting Sony MDR-ED228 ear buds. Don't waste your money on the Coby CV123 3-in-1 Combo Earphones. All three are bad.

I've actually never reviewed a product but these were so frustratingly crappy that I though saving someone else the dissappointment might be therapeutic. My Sony's wore out after like 4 or 5 years so my husband got me this 3 pack for listening at work. The sound quality leaves more to be desired (& I'm nowhere close to a tech/audio snob).Every pair was crap within 2 weeks of use-- the sound would cut in & out. I would be at work jiggling the cord and tilting my head inadvertently trying to get sound to both headphones. How ridiculous is that... I've never paid for something & had it fall so short of the basic functionality it should be delivering. Don't waste your money.

I'm a long time buyer of Coby headphones. I particularly like the neckband CV207 style, which is the brand I normally buy. It fits right outside the ear comfortably and the sound quality is excellent. So when I saw there was a 3 in 1 pack for about the same price I pay for the 1 headphone I figured it might be a good deal. I usually have to replace them once a year anyway due to wear and tear on the cord. And if you are anything like me you have headphones for different seasons. Larger on ear type for colder months while the smaller in ear for warmer summer weather.I purchased this item in the spring and within two month the CV123 neckband started to sound terrible. It began losing sound in one of the ears. So I switch to the earbuds, however the sound quality is terrible and would always fall out of my ears when I was working out. They lasted longer but were annoying to wear, which is why I normally don't buy earbuds in the first place. The on ear clip was the best of the worst as it fit with no problems and had decent sound quality. It didn't break and wasn't an annoyance to wear. But as the saying goes you get what you pay for which is 3 cheap products. At the end of summer I just went and bought the Koss P9 In-Ear Headphones with Volume Control. It has good sound quality the comfortable behind the neck design and volume control which is convenient when I need to lower the volume but don't want to take it out of my bag. They generally last me a little over a year until I have problems with the cord breaking. For a slightly heavier winter on ear headphones I recommend Sony MDR-G57G S2 Sports Street Style Headphones with Reflective Ear Piece I have the MDR-G52 from a disc-man I owned before MP3 players became affordable and they still work perfectly. I've had to replace the ear pads but the sound is great, long cord and the L-plug hasn't failed on me in almost 10 years. Please don't waste your money on the 3 in 1 piece of crap.

Good Enough,

The neckband in-ear phones are the best of this bunch so you might want to consider buying the stand alone set (CVE207). I actually think the sound is pretty good on both the neckband and earbud models - comparable to Sony's MDR-W08L. Unfortunately, the sound quality on the clip-on headphones is very disappointing - they might be okay for audiobook but are just not good enough for music use.

These were very uncomfortable, they are hard plastic and have no covering to cushion them against your ears. Also they are very cheaply made. Also not very good sound

Unbelievably Terrible Quality,
I needed an inexpensive pair of earphones to take to my digital music class. Since I had other classes during the day, I did not want to carry around a large or expensive pair of headphones. I thought that this package of 3 earphones was somewhat of a deal. I could see that they were pretty cheap, but I was sure that three pairs would not fail! Not quite. I may have gotten a few hours out of each pair before they just stopped working. Each pair was very uncomfortable. It is also obvious that sound quality is non-existent. Last week I had one last earphone (and I mean one...the right side of the pair that rolls up into the plastic container, which also broke), hoping it would last me until this semester is over so I don't have to pay $60 for a good pair of headphones. Now the last earphone also gave up and decided not to work anymore.Do yourself a favor and don't buy a cheap product like this to save money (and please avenge the above injustice). Put that money towards a good pair. These are poorer quality than two cans and a string. P.S. The package tells you to WASH HANDS AFTER USE because it contains lead. And I'm supposed to stick these in my ears? I think these were meant to be stuck elsewhere. Thanks China. And thanks American Company Who Approves and Imports This Crap. They made me rate this at least "one star." I would not have given it any star.

I only bought these because they were the only ones I could find that were both behind-the-head and bud style. The sound quality is horrible. Don't bother.
