I've been using this HDTV-DVD player in the kitchen for a month now. For the most part, it has good picture (I'm connected to cable) and has true Hi definition on HD channels. It plays DVDs, +Rs, -Rs, and jpegs on CDs... all good.

There are a few problems, though: The sound while playing a dvd can be poor, sometimes the volume has to be turned up in order to hear it. Then, when you switch back to tv, the speakers blast out. Very annoying.

The remote is the worst I've ever had. Most annoying: there is a delay (1/2 to 1 second) from the time you press a button to when it works. You never know if it worked the first time or not, so, in the beginning you keep pressing! The remote is not very sensitive anyway, so, gets very annoying.

Plus, the remote buttons for the dvd are small and at the bottom cluster, took forever to find the "pause" button when the phone rang.

I'm giving it 3 stars because it's cheap for an HDTV-DVD, and I guess you have to expect to get what you pay for. Once you get use to the delay when you push a button, not so bad.

Has a good picture and more features then anything I was able to find at any price, and this was just a little over 200 bucks.First of all the 2 things that is not at par for me is that its so new my cable remote don't have the code for it so I have to use the remote that came with it for volume. Plus the remote don't work unless your under 10 feet from the set.
I have it in my garage so the dvd works great for plans that I buy on dvd and the usb slot is great for pictures or other info as is the camera card slot. If your gonna put it on the wall as I did don't forget the wall mount that they suggest with it, ($25) you can't get one any cheaper. Beleive me I tryed, not even wal-mart.........If I get 5 years out of it I figure I got my $$$$$$ worth.

This TV seemed to be a good deal. Nice size, DVD player included, lots of inputs. The TV worked find for a few months. The picture is acceptable and the sound is just ok (it has to be turned up really loud to project across a room of minimal size).

The real problem is that it stopped working 9 months after purchase. Coby's warranty is only 90 days, so we are out of luck there. The problem is with the back light of the unit. The sound still works, but no picture. This is not something that should happen less than a year after purchasing the unit. Additionally, the TV was in climate controlled storage for a couple of months (back in the original box with the fitted styrofoam pieces and sitting upright). So the light went out in less than 6 months of regular use.

When working, it was probably a 3 star. With the quick failure, no option but a 1.

Save yourself the trouble and pay for a real brand.

Remote control works intermittently, no headphone jack or audio out for external speakers. With a powered digital antenna the reception is very poor, must have cable or satellite.

I've had this t.v. for less than 4 months and I'm already having to ship it to Georgia for Coby to fix the DVD player. Mid movie it stopped playing and now doesn't read a single DVD/CD. Lame! Waste of money for a small t.v. with DVD player. Thought I was upgrading by finally getting rid of my DVD player.

This tv is one of the worse I've ever came across. The poor quality picture, adjustments and it's teeny sound quality are terrible. I still use it in the kitchen after year. It almost made it into a yard sale. I couldn't do to another person what Colby did to me. I should have sent it back and listen to the reviews.

The product arrived not working at all, so in reality, there is no way for me to truly evaluate it. Am in the process of trying to return it.

We purchased because it was cheaper at the time. Have had for a while now in our kitchen. Picture is good. We have hooked to basic cable. The sound of the tv is bad. Difficult sometime to understand what they are saying. Turning up makes it worse.Changing the stations are painfully slow...but for the money it was ok.

You can not beat the features for this price. The only drawback is the cumbersome remote. You will not find another TV/DVD/Monitor with all of these features for this price.

I bought this tv to replace my tv in my room, the directions for this tv hook up are terrible. I'm not an inexperienced at setting up tv's but this one had me confused and if you don't use their cable it won't work. Then the remote barely works unless you are less then 10 feet away which doesn't work out well when I was trying to watch from my bed. The on screen set up made it difficult and wasn't easy steps to switch between viewing dvd and reg tv. Also it seemed like the dvd button that says open/close would imply that something slides out but it doesn't and if it isn't set to the dvd setting you could potentially break your disk trying to shove it in only to realize that you need to switch over to dvd setting. All and all I was very disappointed and couldn't wait to get my replacement tv and send this one back, it was worth it even with the restocking fee.
