I bought this set based on price and the other reviews which are very positive. While the price is fine, and I had no difficulties with Amazon or the seller, the quality of the set is very poor. No matter what I do, I cannot get a decent picture (fuzzy and the color and tint are awful. BTW, the set is hooked up to a satellite dish, so its not the broadcaster. The sound is almost offensive and does not change with the settings. Very tinny. I would return the set but there is a 15% restocking fee and then shipping charges. Since we only use it infrequently (in the kitchen) we decided it is not worth the cost of returning it. It is nice looking and was easy to set up, but the picture and sound negate anything positive about this set.

Love the TV, and it is great size for the space I have for it just opposite my treadmill. I am using it hooked up to a dvd player to watch movies while walking on the treadmill. I noticed on the first day that I had to turn the volume up high to be able to hear it over the treadmill, then I noticed that the audio was only coming out of the right speaker and not the left. I checked the audio balance and sure enough, no sound was coming out of the left speaker... so I have sent the TV back to J&R Music for a replacement.....I will update this review as soon as I get the replacement.

Well It is about 1 and 1/2 weeks later and J&R Music sent me a new replacement that works very well. The Audio balance is correct and I am now very happy. I can walk on my treadmill and watch movies. PERFECT!

Needed a small portable TV as the 7" Haier Digital set I had purchased only 14 months ago,had defect in receiver for signals when scanning and setting channels. As I had a Coby small stereo/cassette player was familiar with their product. The 12" size is so much better for use in my kitchen and sun-porch. Also easy to carry around and even take it to the basement laundry room. I highly recommend this product and am so happy with the beautiful bright color, sharpness and clarity of the picture and the sound is also great. I had no problem scanning all the local channels into the set. There are many extra features, too. I have recommended this Coby set to all my other "senior" friends. A very happy customer!!!

This is a terrific TV! I have been looking for a small TV for the kitchen for over a year. Since the national switch to HDTV, no major companies are making small TV's (smaller than 19"). So pleased I found this one. The price was great. I am using the TV with a Phillips HDTV antenna (Philips SDV2740/27 HDTV/UHF/VHF/FM Digital Indoor TV Antenna). We receive 34 channels clear as day. In fact, I split the antenna between two televisions, which saves me from purchasing an additional antenna. I read many reviews on Amazon and waited months to take the plunge. Some people were concerned with sound quality. The sound seems just fine to me. The TV was actually sent to me by J & R Electronics. I ordered the TV late on a Monday evening and received it before noon on Wednesday. You can't beat that and shipping was free. If you are looking for a small TV, consider this one. I am glad I took a chance on this one.

I purchased this to replace my old fold down 5" TV. I am extremely pleased with it. I plugged it right in and connected my cable to it and it started up fine. My only complaint is the Sound. It is pretty Tinny. I plugged in some old computer speakers and it worked just perfect.

I previously had the 10.1 inch set which gave me lots of problems. I like the size of the unit so I decided to try the newer 12 inch version.The overall size is the same, but the actual picture is larger. The sound is kind of tinny and the lowest sound setting is still too loud. The picture quality is fine for this size unit. I just hope this new set doesn't shut down like the other 10.1 units did. All in all, the advantage of this set is its small size, and if it continues to be trouble free, I will be happy.

We needed a small tv with decent sound quality for a small space and this fit the bill! At a great price, to boot!

I wanted a small television for my kitchen that would not take up a lot of space. This television is currently on my kitchen counter, but we will eventually mount it on the wall. The television was affordable (less than $100.00) and does exactly what I need it to do. I did not want to spend a lot of money and wasn't too concerned about having a more high end television, so I went with the Colby because I have had good experiences with their portable MP3 players. If you are hooking this television up to cable, you will do just fine. That was not the case with me, so after I turned the set on and could not get a picture, I telephoned their technical support line. I was informed that I would have to purchased an amplified t.v. antenna in order to pick up signals.

My first thought was to return the television, however because I fell in love with the size and how cute it looked on my kitchen counter, I decided to purchased an amplified t.v. antenna from Radio Shack. The one I purchased costed me about $35.00. I live about 15 miles from New York City, so I was able to pick up quite a few stations in what appears to be HD. The picture is now crystal clear. I am now very happy with my purchase.

I purchased this TV for my wife who wanted a replacement for the analog she watched in the bathroom while getting ready for work. I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews, but am glad I purchased.
The picture is very good. It is sharp and colors are good. TIP...If you purchase from a reputable dealer, (like J & R) they will gladly send another if you get one with fuzzy or off-color picture.
The sound is so-so, but I wasn't looking for much from a 1 inch speaker.
This TV is the newer version of the 10" they make, and the dimentions they quote in the description are accurate.
Whatever you do, get a powered antenna if you do not plan to hook directly into your cable or satelite receiver. We live 30 miles from the towers, so I bought a RCA flat omni-directional powered antenna from Walmart and placed it underneath the TV. After a little tweeking, I could receive all the local channels. Wish I had bought the antenna on Amazon...it is much cheaper there.

I was looking for a small tv to go on my desk and this tv looked like it just might fill that bill. Size wise and style wise it was perfect. I knew others had complained about the sound quality so I was not surprised it sounded a bit tinny. What really surprised me was how bad the picture quality was. The picture might be described as okay when I was looking a still shot, but whenever I was watching anything with fast action like a sporting event or an action movie, the picture was extremely blurry. I seemed like the tv could not process the movements to the screen fast enough to keep up with the action. After two days of looking at it, I could not take it anymore and returned it to my local store and purchases another brand.
