Pleasantly surprised!
I oredered this TV for my 7 yr old daughter and I'm glad I did, it is a awesome TV despite it not being one of the most popular brands. Great picture quality too, I sat and watched it for a little while just to see how it performs....and I have no complaints so far!! I love Amazon!

Great picture. Poor sound.
The picture on this TV is great, but the sound quality is not very good. The sound is sort of muffled and it seems like the sound is coming out of a much smaller TV.

I read the reviews on the 2617 and thought the 2625 would be better with the advertised 1200:1 contrast vs the 700:1 another customer mentioned in a 2617 review. Well guess what ! Instead of having the 1200:1 contrast, the 2625 only had 600:1 ! ! Imagine my surprise! It was printed right on the box (not mentioned on the specs page that came with the unit. I am VERY, very pleased with Amazons return policy, it was picked up by UPS at my door today for a full credit from Amazon . .. Thank You ! I just ordered a Sony Bravia from Amazon. No more el cheapo for me. . . .

I bought this TV from another supplier in New York. After two weeks, I noticed that the channel scan took forever to go from channel to another, long delay such as 4 seconds! It would also get stuck on one channel in the favorites mode.
The I noticed that the TV would not turn on with the remote even after the batteries were changed and even then the TV would not turn on manually. If I unplugged it, it would turn on with the remote and it would turn off BUT IT WOULD NOT TURN ON AGAIN, and so I had to repeat the process of unplugging it. THE SOUND IS OVERDRIVEN WITH THE 10 WATT EACH SPEAKERS...5 Watts is sufficient with my Viewsonic which I prefer! They are sending me another Coby which if it comes in the original carton I will return if it does not perform. |
