I've had this TV for a few weeks. The choice was between this one and a Philips that had some good reviews. When I went to the store, I expected to buy the Philips, but this one seemed to have a better picture.

As with all flat tv's the sound leaves something to be desired. But I have a Samsung in the other room that has the same issues. Quite simply you need to connect a sound bar or external stereo to any flat tv to get great sound.

As for the picture, at first it was fine, then I played with the settings and put the picture in Dynamic mode and now the picture really POPS! I guess the energy saver mode that it starts out in really brings things down. It also performs really well with PS3 HD games, the 120Hz refresh rate really keeps "tracing" to a minimum during action scenes or while watching sports.

Overall, it's a great value TV, nothing fancy, it does what it's supposed to.

I'm very satisfied!

The picture quality of this unit is terrific when using the HDMI inputs available. The sound is terrible as others have stated and I would add, worst than most flat screens. In purchasing this unit I overlooked the fact that this Coby does not have any digital or analogue audio outputs to enable a work-around for this major "sound" drawback. I have purchased a "vizio" sound-bar to make up for the audio, but am forced to use my "audio out" from my cable box to push the audio through. This requires the cable box to be locate near the sound-bar which I have wall mounted under the TV. This also means that any other "video" device must have its out put directly to an alternative sound device if audio is important to you. For Music, Gaming, and Movies this is a must.

For now I use this unit in a bedroom so the logistics work for me. I will most likely use it as a computer monitor when one fails in my office. In the end You get a good quality "Monitor" for the money, but it has little versatility as anything else. I would recommend this unit for a bedroom or office for use with a PC or game station with separate audio capabilities. Do not think that the sound quality is something that you will be able to live with. You will be disappointed.

The TV in my office just died a few days ago. After searching on line and stores, I came across this TV. It is a great value. The pictures is clear, sharp and the colors are vibrant. You definitely can't beat the price! I highly recommend this TV.

I like the picture quality. I use it in my bedroom and it is perfect for that. The speakers are adequate, not hugely robust
but work well. The number of controls is good. It looks like Coby has gotten better with their whole product line. Overall,
a good buy

Decent TV for the price. Picture is clear. There are enough inputs to hook up numerous devices with ease. The TV is pretty durable. While attaching the base, I dropped the TV. No problems after that. Everything was still working fine. I use this TV for my exercise DVDs. It would be nice for a computer monitor. Pretty good TV.

The first TV I received was defective. Although the picture was good, there were so many stuck pixels they became a distraction.

With this replacement monitor, I decided to set it up as a PC monitor since my Dell was getting old and was much smaller.

I'm really enjoying this unit. It was very easy to set up to the PC, and I was pleased with the bright, clear color. The best thing about it is the size. I do not see well, and I am thrilled with how easy it is to see things on this monitor. I do lots of editing, and this is definitely going to make my life easier. Fortunately, it just fit on my desk and perfectly matches my black PC and printer.

I highly recommend it to those of you who have decreased eyesight. You will love it and will never want to work with a small monitor again.

I bought one locally and it worked fine. I bought another for the guest room. Within two weeks the first lost the picture and sound. I contacted COBy and they told me I had to send it to them (TEXAS) at my expense and enclose a $40.00 MO to cover the return. I was so angry I refused to send it back and told them what I thought of their policies. The second (guest room) I installed in my room. It also has issues. Periodically the sound goes off. You have to shut it off to get the sound to come back on. I even had purchased a three extended warranty which didn't cover shipping. What a joke!!!!!!!

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I have tried using this TV as a monitor and all I got was lines and mismatched images. I adjusted EVERYTHING there was to adjust, used it through the HDMI connection, vga connection, it would work ok sometimes but about 75% of the time I had a bad image. That's not even mentioning the dead pixel that is on the screen right out of the box. I even bought a new graphics card thinking that would work and still had the same problem. Gave up on it as a monitor and tried to just using it as a tv, same problem. The unit is bad. With a dvd player, monitor or regular tv most the time I have a bad picture that is mismatched or has lines and this unit has caused me countless headaches and aggrevation trying to fix it. Given all the problem I've encountered with a simple tv I cannot in any way recommend this tv.
