4.0 out of 5 stars Great product!
This is a really nice player. It is very user friendly and perfect for beginners. I purchased this for my 8-year old grandson and he loves it. I had one for his mom last year and she still uses it. I would definitely recommend this player.

2.0 out of 5 stars Short life
Stopped working after about 4 months! No computer that I would try to load this on(I tried 2 different laptops and 3 different PCs)would read it. I have read similar reviews about colby's cheapie MP3s elsewhere. When it did work, it was just fine...

4.0 out of 5 stars MP3 player is great!, March 19, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The MP3 player is great, no complaints. The speakers are pretty cheap, get what you pay for here. The headphones that come with it are crap.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bought for my sister, nothing but problems so far, May 14, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The driver for this thing apparently wrecked my sister's computer. After she installed it, she restarted the computer, and Windows wouldn't load. I had to uninstall it. She's on XP Pro.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for blind people, November 12, 2010
This review is from: Coby USB-Stick MP3 Player with Stereo Speaker System 1 GB MP20016-1G (Black) (Electronics)
Some time back I got a Coby mp3 player that operates with buttons only at a local store. I took my 80+ year old mother's Swiss music tapes and converted them to mp3s. It took her a little while to learn how to operate the mp3 player, but once she did, the blessings of being able to hear her homeland music again were tremendous. She is nearly blind. She could never see those mp3 players that have screens. I have to use glasses to read them, myself. It only cost me about $20.00 for a blessing that is worth a whole lot more.
Since then she showed the mp3 player to her sister who is also going blind. My cousin found some on Amazon.com since she couldn't find any button operated mp3 players in a store. Neither could I. I bought another one for my mom from Amazon also.
I would like to encourage Coby to bring that model back. Not having to read a screen can be a convenience for people with good eyes as well as the blind. Once the buttons are memorized a person can change songs by feel. That makes driving safer too.
