I purchased the Coby mp3 player for the gym, because I like to listen to the radio in the morning. This player perfectly fits the bill. Radio reception is very good and it was easy to program in stations - in fact, automatic. It also has 4 megs to hold plenty of music or whatever else you may want to load in. The only down side is that it would not load off of my itunes, so I had to use another platform to load music.

This Coby player is a great alternative to an iPod. The price is very reasonable, it holds a lot of music and the sound quality is very good - at least with all the music we've purchased. The unit is very attractive and it's about the same size as an iPod. It comes with reasonably nice earbuds and a USB cable.

However, the Coby software stinks. It is not user friendly and requires a lot of effort. If you have the MP3 files on your PC, it is much easier just to copy them over with file explorer. If you are loading the music from a CD, you will need to enter the track, song title, band, etc for every song.

The battery life usually lasts a little longer than the 8 hours that are spec'd.

I'm not much for watching videos on a 1" display, but the kids tested that out for me and claim the quality there is reasonable.

The FM radio works well too. The reception is not as good as the radio in my car, but it gets all the local stations without any issues.

So, there are no games, the controls are not fancy, and the software sucks but this little unit does what it claims: It plays musics and does that well. Price wise, you get a lot of bang for your buck.

I bought this for my husband who is totally electronics/gadget challenged. All he really wants or needs is an mp3 player that plays music with FM radio. My plan was to load pictures, video & music for him and then give to him for Christmas, which I have done. I was very impressed with the ease of use and features of this mp3 player for the price. HOWEVER, there is a problem with the mp3 player turning off automatically while listening to music. During 30 minutes of music playback the player shut off 4 times. That is VERY IRRITATING and FRUSTRATING! I would not purchase this mp3 player again for this reason alone but there is another problem. The FM radio does not work either. We live in the country and can only get a couple of stations so it may be that it is just not capable of picking up a channel where we live. Spend a little more money and get a better quality product. I wish I had.

It works great. It runs a long time on a charge. It comes with good headphones. It has movie trailers and pictures already on it. Great product, great price!

This mp3 player is great and the price makes it even better. The battery life is great and the its pretty much dummy proof. If you buy it you wont regret it. I almost didnt buy it because of the one star video review but im sure the guy dropped it. oh yeah the fm radio is crystal clear in turlock, ca.

Okay I just got it today, but this thing is cool as heck for $25. I realize the price is lower because there's a newer model with a camera, speakers, bigger memory and a better screen, but that's 2x the price.

Sure it's not an ipod or able to connect to the internet, but it's an MP3 player that plays videos. For $25.

I had an old Coby MP3 player that was cheap but never broke. I assume this one will be the same.

First, it's tiny but so is an iPod touch. It's very similar to an ipod touch in terms of "feel" just a little smaller.

Second the menus are simple. You can access all your music in a convenient way. The buttons require a bit of extra pushing, but no big deal.

The music is set up so you can easily access songs. And it goes to black screen to save battery life.

The video is really impressive. At first I was thinking the small screen would be horrible, but you can actually watch a movie on the thing. And that is why I like this device the most. I can go for a walk and watch a movie while walking! To me this is incredible for $25. It's like a DVD player.

Just a note about video format. It allows you to use most video formats but it converts it for you. But no where is this spelled out in the literature they send.

so NOTE: plug the player into the USB, open up the directory of the player, and click on the Coby Media Manager, it will install on your computer. (NO CD comes with this, the software is on the player).

Then add any video format to the media player manager program in the Movie section and hit Synchronize, it will convert the file for you while transferring it to the player. Don't try to just copy a file to the movie folder, use the media manager software!

What a cool device for $25.

This is the best mp3 player I've ever owned!!!it holds my photos, ebooks, audio books, tons of music! it even holds a couple movies!!!! little tip: to put movies/videos on launch the coby media manager right away, drop and drag any movie you want into the movies folder then right click and hit synchronize. the coby media manager will change the video to the correct format and load it onto your player for you!!! This is the easiest player I've ever had. Loading videos and everything else on my player was a cinch!!! I would recommend anyone get this player! and for the price you can't beat it!!!

For about $50.00 shipped, this 4G Unit looks terrific, has stellar Video Qualities, and holds enuff music to make any one happy.
The only complaint would be "Navigation". Trying to get around from Music, To Video, Etc., and even turning the unit off and on, takes some trial and error.
BUT, for the Price?? well worth it

I mean, you really can't complain about much when this player only costs $40... I've got it holding about 750 songs right now and its about maxed out, which is actually pretty good considering the price is so low. The earpieces it came with don't sound good at all, but luckily I had an extra pair of my own. It's not quite as user friendly as an actual iPod but it just takes al ittle getting used to.

My only REAL complaint is that there is no shuffle song function on it, which I kind of wish I would've known ahead of time. So in order to listen to your songs, it has to go right down the line in abc order of the song, which is not good for me when Im working out. BUT, as I said, pretty much worth it for the cheap price

Has a great sound quality, is easy to use, very portable and looks good too! Really like having the FM tuner option.
