i heard her perform in rio - i had no idea what to expect, and i don't speak portuguese. she blew me away - she performs everything from the blues to hip hop. her energy, charisma and emotions bust through the language barrier. this cd is very much like the performance she gave that night - remarkable, passionate and amazing.

I am enjoying this CD immensely! The Portugese language has such an appealing flair and tone to the ear and is very romantic! The rhythm, melody and tones are very cheerful, clear, and precise! I purchased this CD for the express purpose of hearing and repeating Cole Porter's "Lets Fall In Love" (Facamos Vamos Amar)by Elza Soares and Chico Buarque. Great Music!

Amazing, June 21, 2006

I just saw Elza in concert in Rio at Mistra Fina (2006) and she was absolutely amazing - great voice and a great entertainer. This is a CD not to be missed as is the re-issue of 'A Bossa Negra' and the more recent 'Vivo Feliz'.
