If you can recite the words to 10 or more childrens books, while half asleep, then THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU. This is a simple, yet funny story full of farm animals and fun sounds. When your child asks for a bedtime book, both of you will be reaching for Cock-A-Doodle-Moo because you know that you will laugh along with the book and along with your child. If you have a small child, you know the joy I'm talking about. Meanwhile, your teaching your child about creativity, a sense of humor, and cooperation. This is a MUST HAVE for any bedtime library. Take it from a Dad who reads 6 books a day, minimum.

Our seven-year-old brought this book home from his first grade class to read to his three-year-old brother. It was an instant hit. Bernard Most wraps a farm animal dilemma around some very funny language and a witty conclusion making this our youngest son's favorite book! If you have a preschooler who's learning to read or just enjoying stories, here's a book that will capture their attention and increase their enthusiasm for printed language. It's a sure hit!

This book is perfect for toddlers...don't let the 3-7 age recommendation throw you off! My 2 year old is addicted to this book...I hear "Mommy! Moo Moo!" at least a half a dozen times a day. This is an enteraining book for everyone, no matter what your age is!

This is one of our families favorite books. We read it over and over again. This on one of my go to books for baby showers and 1st birthdays.

My grandson and I found this book in the library several years ago. I am somewhat of a "dramatic" reader (using voices) and we always thought it was funny, so we purchased a copy. Now, at age 7, he still brings it out and we wind up laughing hysterically while he reads it to me (voices and all). What a fun book that teaches cooperation, non-judgement lessons, and humor! I love this book!

This book is a fun book to read with children. I have used it in story times for years. Kids love the silliness and if you dare to scratch your throat up a little bit, they think it's hilarious when the rooster tries to crow with a sore throat. The book lends itself to silliness and education as well. Not only can you use the story to start giggles, you can use it to teach animal sounds and farm subjects among other things. I recently read it with my eight month old nephew, and sure enough it got laughter out of him too. Try it and have fun.

We first checked this book out at the library and we liked it so much that we just had to buy it. It is such a cute and goofy story, and so much fun to read. The rooster on the farm has lost his voice, so he asks the cow to take his place and wake up the farmer and the other animals each morning by saying "Cock-a-Doodle-Do"! The cow just can't seem to get it right, which leads to lots of laughs. I highly recommend it for kiddos from ages one to six. My five year old loves it!

My granddaughter was introduced to this book in day care. Her teacher said it was her favorite so I bought it for her. She goes straight to this book and begs me to read it every time she visits. I recommend it for your toddler, also.

While I was a Children's Librarin, this was one of my favorite books. This was not only a huge hit with me, but with the parents and the children alike! It is fun to see the rooster seeing what he can do with his lost voice. One can read this over and over and not get tired of it. It is great for all ages, young and young at heart.

It is the cutest book. I find my husband reading it, without reading it to someone else. Great for kids of all ages.
