I have a landlord who owns several properties, including a small trailer park outside our town. I was having issues paying the rent so he agreed to let me work for him, cleaning trailers after someone moved out.

OMG. It was disgusting. My very first trailer was filled to the max with roaches. The people had left all kinds of junk. To top it off the neighbors had recently had an exterminator over thus doubling the bugs inside the trailer I was cleaning.

After searching online I ordered several things. This Invict Gold,100 Harris Roach Tablets Posion & Kills Roaches, Spiders, Ants & Silverfish, Combat 12 Month Roach Bait, Small, 18 Count , on top of several things locally bought.

I wanted the damn things dead, NOT running to another trailer.

First I put out the Harris Roach tablets. Placing them everywhere I could think of. Then I placed the roach hotels/bait. Strategically placing them where I knew the bugs would be near.

Then I got this out. I was nervous because the tubes seemed awfully little. I was amazed to see the bugs literally running up to eat it. Gross yes, but I was excited at their impending doom.

Two days later I walked into the trailer and found HUNDREDS of dead roaches. They were everywhere. The Combat was basically untouched. The Harris Tablets had been nibbled on a little. The Invict Gold was GONE.

For about two weeks I went through this trailer, cleaning dead bugs, putting out tiny bit more of Invict Gold, and then leaving for a day or so. Over and over.

I started noticing some German roaches in my home at the end of last summer. It had been a year since I bought my house, and this was the first time I found roaches. The school where I teach has a problem with them, and I suspect I carried one home. Anyway, I tried Combat roach baits, as well as Combat roach powder along baseboards and behind appliances and sinks, and didn't see any decrease in roach activity. I had used another product for the exterior of my home that worked with box elder bugs and was supposed to work with roaches. I sprayed it along the baseboards inside my house, but it didn't have any affect. I would still spot at least one roach every day or two.

Finally, after reading many discouraging responses online about the lengths people went in dealing with roach problems, I read on a do-it-yourself website about using Invict Gold Cockroach German Roach Control Gel Bait 5 tubes w/ plunger (35 grams per tube) in conjunction with 10 Gentrol Point Source IGR Insect Growth Regulator Discs~~ Half Box. Used as directed. Treated the house at the end of November. After the treatment, I've only seen one roach in the last two months. More time will tell whether the roach population has been wiped out, but I had very good results so far.

First, let me say I have never had a roach infestation before. We leave in the south, therefore, making battling bugs more difficult. Last November, I noticed some bugs right around Thanksgiving.. so I sprayed.. and a few weeks later they were worse..so I cleaned and sprayed... then it seemed they just got worse and worse.. and worse.. I cleaned and sprayed.. and cleaned.. and sprayed.. nothing.. I mean nothing I did seemed to make them go away. It would seem to get better, and then in a week or so.. they were worse. Little did I know that German cockroaches will survive a nuclear war.. and when they are under stress, they multiply faster. I finally had an exterminator spray which helped a bit. Enter Invict... :) My husband did a three hour clean out of our kitchen.. and applied this gel bat as directed.. we took the kids for a family dinner afterwards.. and behold as we returned dead roaches. It is the fifth day out from our clean out, and now are rarely seeing a live one..or a dead one. I was at my wits end.. stopped liking to cook, and was considering raising the white flag and moving into a five star hotel. Thanks Invict.. words can't express the gratitude welling up in the depths of my spirit. :)

UPDATE: It has now been ONE YEAR and there are still NO ROACHES. I moved to a new place.. also had roaches.. srsly wtf. I felt very secure knowing that this stuff exists. I laid it out before I even moved in and now.. NONE. This stuff is a MUST have if you live in the south.

After moving into an amazing old house built in 1850 in a great part of New Orleans, we quickly realized we had a pretty severe roach infestation in our kitchen. My landlord is a pretty absent landlord, and rented the place out to room mate situation college kids prior to us, so basically these kids kept the place pretty filthy. But the rent was right and just a few blocks from my daughters school. Anyway, they were everywhere at night. Truly truly disgusting. I grew up in NYC and never experienced anything like it before. I found this product on Amazon and based on reviews decided to try it. I applied it in every crack and between the joints of our cabinets, took out the drawers and dotted it in the sides of the drawers and in small dots behind the counters, behind the stove, behind the fridge. I put the gentrol disk under one of the cabinets. Then I waited. After day 1, I saw a noticeable reduction in the amount of live bugs. Day 2, a few less, but would see one or two. It has now been about a week. In the past two days I have found COUNTLESS dead cockroaches in my kitchen and have YET to come across a live one. I've seen some truly horrific dead roach situations that I wish I could unsee. However, this seems to be managing the problem and I will be sure to maintain in a few months with another application. Seriously if this could knock out the infestation we had, this can work for ANYONE. A few tips. Dot the product in small dots (smaller than a pea) about 4 inches apart in any cracks that you see.
