There's nothing deluxe about this shaker, but it's well made, doesn't leak, pours easily and completely and is easy to clean. Used correctly it get's really cold, so you may want to use a towel when you shake it. You can find shakers that cost twice as much, but they won't do the job any better. It's small; you'll get just two drinks out of one mixture.

A classic design, and the perfect size for making a cocktail for two (without being too bulky to store behind the bar).

This is not the greatest cocktail shaker out there, that's for sure. Had trouble getting the top off after mixing a drink. Had to put shaker in freezer for a few minutes in order to get the top off. So if you are in a hurry to drink your drink, this is not the one for you.

I guess I'll have to put this under the "you get what you pay for" category, because this was cheap, but it certainly was no bargain.

It was obvious from the start that someone had already purchased this cocktail shaker once and returned it to the vendor because it was already put together so that it did not fit into the box it came in. The box was water-stained and barely holding together, but since it's a stainless steel shaker I didn't care...until I tried to take it apart.

The jigger on top was sealed tightly to the strainer. So tight in fact that I had to get a piece of Dycem to get a good enough grip to separate it. If you're not familiar with Dycem, it's a rubbery fabric that allows you to get a good grip on almost any slick surface. I keep some around for opening stubborn jars. My wife is a hand therapist, so that's really the only reason I even know what it is.

But I digress...

Aside from the jigger sticking to the strainer, the strainer itself has about half as many holes as it should. It takes a long time to strain a drink through the lid. The lid barely fits the body of the shaker, and takes considerable force to put together, and it only overlaps by about an eighth of an inch. This becomes a critical problem when you start shaking because the lid is liable to fly off and coat your kitchen walls with beverage. If you are tough enough to apply enough force to get the lid to sit squarely, you may never be able to get them apart afterward...Dycem or not.

All in all, if you're looking for a good cocktail shaker to mix a small batch of one or two martinis, keep looking. This isn't it. Even at less than ten bucks, you'll just be throwing your money away.

This is a good quality cocktail shaker. Better price than we found elsewhere, although slightly smaller. We have been happy with this purchase.

This is a good cocktail shaker, however it is already starting to rust and it really should not be since it is stainless steel. still works fine but I will have to buy one sooner than I had hoped because of it.

First we had to scrape of the lose metal dust, oil, and chippings that were on the inside --wedged in tightly in the crannies. Now it is finally clean but will show rust spots if you leave sit wet even if it is only for a short period of time. And on top of all, after only a few uses, it now leaks when you pour your drinks. Big mess and definitely not worth the money at all. Stay away from it and buy a more expensive one that actually works. Get it at a good store.
