The cover, a scene from Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy", is the best possible cover. And they changed it. It's now much more beautiful, less crude, with Pan and nymphs. But at least the original cover (shown here on Amazon) is still there on an external cardboard. Since the new cover also appears in the booklet inside, I think the original cover should have been kept. But it does look more beautiful and I simply keep it with the old cover still wrapping the jewel case.
This version is not book-ended with that Russian hymn at the end (originally tracks 1 and 13). But it's the same first track. It's there only once now, but it's still there, so no great loss. Five bonus tracks appear at the end of the disc instead. They are different versions from songs previously released in EPs or various artists albums. No, they are not new or unreleased songs. They're unreleased VERSIONS of older songs. Less interesting versions, but not bad. They do fit the album nicely and the original album is practically entirely here.
Why get this version instead? Because the mastering is MUCH better! And the price is not bad. And the new packaging is certainly beautiful. And now it's a long album you can pop in your stereo and just let play while you relax.
