About the Author

When she’s not chasing rug monkeys or otherwise running around like a madwoman, Autumn likes to look out at the Rocky Mountains that surround her, and daydream. She wouldn’t live anywhere else (except maybe Tahiti, if half naked serving men were included in the deal. Admit it—you’d trade, too). ** Autumn’s always up for a good chat about music, movies, wine, or good books. Or bad books. Or books of any kind (Really. She talks a lot. Almost as much as she reads. Ask her husband). She sucks down java at a scandalous rate to keep her going by day, but in the dead of night you’ll find her hunched over the computer keyboard, writing frantically while alternating between bouts of snickering madly, sniffling aloud, and despairing over her technodorkiness. ** Someday she’ll grow up and put her very grown-up education to use. ** Maybe. ** But not today.

Super cute contemporary romance, set in Davis, CA. College crush turned drunken hook up...can they turn it into something real when they've started in the middle? This story is so reminiscent of those heady days of the mid-twenties, when you are a grown up, and you still haven't started your grown up life, but you are about to. Really sweet story, funny, cute.

Cocktails and Dreams is a well written, modern love story. You follow the lives of Jena and Nicholas as they work through the trials and tribulations of beginning, maintaining and ultimately owning their relationship. Are you tired of reading simple romance stories where it's all hearts and flowers and chocolates with no earthiness or sense of normality? Then this book's for you. There's romance, there's fun, there's sex, there's love; but there's also a "humanness" in these characters that is rarely found in fiction - they make mistakes, they're not perfect and they deal with real issues. This is what makes this book so attractive to me. Sure, everyone likes escapism in literature, but I also like characters to whom I can relate...and this books gives me that, right down to the very last page.

The summary of this book got my attention, Nick & Jena met back in college were very into each other but never did anything about it, New Years Eve rolls around and they hook up, and of course I want to know what happens so I get the book. At first I was excited and I couldn't wait to see what this book was all about and how they would end up back together. But I personally feel the book was a little long and if the story was shorter it would of been better. It dragged on for a bit and I started to get bored but continued reading just because I wanted to know what happened. I think what kept me mostly interested were the characters, Jena and her filter mouth, Nick is hot and funny, Connor well he's Connor and I would love for him to get his own book, and then theres Travis who is also hot and funny! The chemistry between all the characters were great, so I feel like if it was shorter I would of loved the book, but I still recommend people to read it was a nice story overall! :D

I enjoyed the characters in this book but by about the 60% mark it started to drag out a bit and the main female character was starting to become annoying. Up until this point I would have given this a five star rating and it's the only reason I dropped back to four stars.

I did actually purchase the book because it was 400 pages and it's nice to have a decent length book to read but it was a bit unnecessary in this case.

The secondary characters really added to the story. Lots of humor. Still worth reading.

Her characters are charming and sincere and the whole thing definitely brings back memories. Well written and very enjoyable! Perfect a day by the pool, at the beach or in the hammock in the back yard.

This is a thoroughly engaging read. The characters are all totally believable (particularly Jenna's lack of verbal filter), and I was really taken with the way commitment was regarded with a kind of fear. I can relate! I found it really endearing that the characters transitioned from the bloom of attraction and then having to work their way back from that into a relationship. Been there, done that ... *cough*

The confusion, angst and hurdles along the way were realistically managed to the point where you want to bang their heads together and hope they see sense. That's when I reminded myself of their age, compared it with my own behaviour back then and think "Oh, wait ..." Yup. The author really nailed it.

The dialogue was of a quality that I just wanted to sink into and enjoy for ages. The sassy back and forth and heartfelt declarations sounded so REAL that it just endeared the characters to me all the more. When characters talk to me like that I can forget that I'm reading a construct, and that's when I start to relate to them as genuine people. To me, that's a sign of quality writing right there.

This is a contemporary romance that tells it like it is, drama without slipping into melodrama, and laughter and lust along the way. I absolutely loved it.

What a wonderful book. I downloaded it to read on a vacation and found myself
not wanting to put it down. It was an easy read and one can relate to the
realism of the characters. Their conversational banter was a blast to follow
and the love story a delight to read. Autumn made the characters come to life,
with vivid descriptions, conversations, and spicy love scenes. One is engulfed in
a truly well written novel. Nicholas and Jena encounter the ups and downs of
a very real love story. You find youself cheering for them on their successes and
feeling the pains of their defeats. I look forward to reading Autumns' next book.

I was fortunate enough to read this story in it's original form and see it's genesis into this gorgeous summer read. I've loved these characters forever and when they "speak" I hear their voices in my head. This happens because of Autumns wonderful writing style and ability to get into her own characters heads. There is so much more I can say about this book but I'll only bore you. Go buy it and read for yourself and you'll see what I mean. I can't wait to read more of Autumns work when it comes out.
