Cute book, simple "story", sturdy and the pictures are vibrant in color, important for the little one.

So, when Tanen's first book (Bitter With Baggage) came out, my wife and I started bringing copies of it (in lieu of wine) to the hosts if someone had us over for dinner. We looked cool, and the host always passed it around the table. Now, with a child of our own, we were psyched to learn that this was coming out. It's practical, totally funny, and so sweet. And it actually makes teaching the basics even more fun than it already is. I can't really tell if Coco Counts is more fun for us or for our daughter, but I'm hoping that Tanen's wit is passed along to her:)

I have long been a fan of Sloane Tanen's work and COCO COUNTS carries on the tradition. Aside from being visually arresting, this book is really fun and my kids love it. I love that she has works from children and parents (you have to check out HATCHED). This book comes with high praise!
