1.0 out of 5 stars Great product, Messed up amazon ad
These sticks are great! They smell delicious like chocolate, they just melt onto your body, and the butter absorbs into your skin completely, so no greasy left over residue. Applicator is a bit cheap, and beware leaving them in a hot car lol(they will melt quite easily). Makes skin silky smooth though, and good for all over: hands, legs, lips...

Now why...

Queen Helene's Cocoa Butter Stick is one of the cheapest and most luxurious beauty secrets out there! This product is just like it sounds--pure natural cocoa butter in a push-up stick. The smell of this product is absolutely delicious--just like chocolate. The moisturizing butter soothes parched skin, restores suppleness and provides a light layer of protection against dryness.

My favorite usage for cocoa butter is in the bath. Cut off a chunk of cocoa butter from the stick and leave it to melt in the bath. It makes even the hottest bath a deliciously rich, moisturizing and fragrant experience. You can use the hunk of cocoa floating in the bath to smooth over the driest areas. Pat yourself dry when you get out of the bath so that you don't rub off the layer of cocoa butter on your skin and you wont need additional moisturizer.

According to Wikipedia, cocoa butter is the edible natural fat of the cacao bean extracted during making chocolate. It contains natural antioxidants. Some authorities recommend cocoa butter for fading stretch marks!

4.0 out of 5 stars Love this stuff!, July 17, 2007
This review is from: Cocoa Butter Stick 1oz. 1 Ounces (Misc.)
I adore this stuff from Queen Helene. It does smell wonderful and works like a charm! I have one in my purse, one in the bathroom and one by my bed that I use for just about everything... lip balm, moisturizer, flyaways, you name it. I also love that there's nothing else in it, just the cocoa butter. I've been attempting to "go natural" as it were, and get rid of unnecessary chemicals, and this stuff does the trick. The only reason I gave it four stars is that I don't really like the applicator. You have to pinch it to hold the stick in place, so it ends up retracting before I'm done with it. Also, the applicator can shave off little bits that can get hard and leaves these little bumpy things on your lips especially that take some time to melt, so you can't automatically apply lipstick over it, you have to wait a little while. Other than that, the product is awesome!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Natural Moisturizer, October 26, 2007
This review is from: Cocoa Butter Stick 1oz. 1 Ounces (Misc.)
Cocoa Butter is actually one of the best moisturizer and anti-aging agent. It has a high antioxidant. This is probably one of the best products you can find for moisturizers. It works better than most lotions or most of the expensive, overpriced products which aren't even natural.
I have found that when it comes to moisturizing and anti-aging, going natural is the best solution. I usually use cocoa butter on my face before i go to bed. Cocoa butter can also be used on pregnant ladies to prevent stretch marks.

5.0 out of 5 stars best kept secret, November 29, 2008
This review is from: Cocoa Butter Stick 1oz. 1 Ounces (Misc.)
This is seriously the best kept secret in cosmetics. I was leery at first thinking it would be oily or break my skin out. I have medium dry skin, but tend to get acne at the same time. My skin is also sensitive. I bought this on the recommendation of one of my friends and HAVE FALLEN in LOVE with it. I have been using it on my face, my hands, my chest, my elbows and my skin feels like a baby bottom.
I use a 100% cocoa butter stick (I have also tried the Palmers cream, but like the stick better). The smell is yummy, the stick comes out smooth and is not oily at all.
I have recommended it to all my friends and am using it for my 3 yr old toddler as well...
It makes my lips nice and soft too with a hint of shine.

5.0 out of 5 stars There's nothing like the real thing. 100% Cocoa Butter is it, April 21, 2004

This is great stuff! I'd heard that cocoa butter gets rid of scars, and I must admit, I was sceptical. But I'll tell ya, I have very dry skin on my hands, lower legs, and feet. I believe it's from working in my teens and twenties in a small ice cream plant, where part of my time was spent cleaning pipes and machine parts with a powerful chlorinated detergent that was always splashing onto my lower legs and into my boots. And I wore no gloves, too. Now I use lotion all the time, and put it on my lower legs and feet every night, or else I'll itch and crack there. I use Queen Helene 100% Cocoa Butter stick on the tough spots, and right now I'm using it on a rather large area of my shin that I scraped while moving a large dog house. Normally if I don't put a bandage on a wound with some antibiotic cream, my skin just won't heal in a reasonable amount of time. But this scrape is just too big to bandage without a lot of hassle. So I'm using the cocoa butter on it after every shower and before I go to bed, or when it starts itching or feeling "stretched", and it's healing nicely. A stick of this cocoa butter goes a long way, but I'm about to buy a dozen as soon as I finish this review. See ya!

Now why anyone would spend such a high price when they sell this product in stores for $2.40 and elsewhere even on amazon for less than that? I have really no idea. You should buy elsewhere, but definitely recommended!
