Raw Food Sweet Treat April 22, 2010

I received this product and opened the jar thinking I must have recieved an old jar because I thought it would be like peanut butter and ready to spread. To begin with it has a wax barrier on top. Yes I dug into the wax and tasted it thinking it was coconut butter. Once I removed the top wax barrier the coconut butter was just as thick as the wax but color was more natural. I needed to chip pieces away to taste the product. Once in your mouth it melts to a yummy buttery texture. I have noticed in the warmer months the product is smooth and easy to spread out of the jar. So my suggestion is to either warm the whole jar and dip a knife or spoon or chip some of the product into a cup and microwave for a few seconds to make into a gooey sauce. It is great in oatmeal to sweeten and in recipes for a natural sweetener. One jar lasts a long time and I found myself taking spoonfuls for a sweet snack at night.

I cannot believe how great tasting coconut butter is, it is a delightful treat for Vegans and Non-Vegans. Every Vegan should be eating this to get all of their B vitamins, this is an awesome product!
