Excellent !,

I love this Coconut Milk powder. I would rate it 5 stars, except that I need to really blend it to make a milk without clumps. I think this is the nature of the product, so I want people to be aware of that.
This product is excellent as a coffee creamer and in cooked cereal as milk and a light sweetener. You do have to make it up with warm water and then pour it in for both to dissolve it. I highly recommend this.

I first bought this about 2 months ago, to use for creamer in my coffee because I don't like what they do with cow's milk these days... well it's wonderful. I just love this product. I can mix it as creamy or light as I want and it's tastes so good. I just bought a 5 pound bag of it because my 1 pound bag is near gone. I only mix up the amount I'll need over about 4 or 5 days so that it's always fresh. I also use this in recipes where milk is called for, well, a mixture of this and the powdered goats milk that I bought on Amazon not long ago. Coconut Goat's Milk... lol YUM MEE!!!

I used this product in a cake. It enhanced the coconut flavor and gave a great texture to the cake. I intend to use this product in other desserts.

COCONUT MILK POWDER,
By Brenda R. Hayes (Chicago,ILL) - See all my reviews

AS AN ASPIRING RAW FOODIST, I PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE COCONUT IS USED IN A LOT OF RAW FOOD PREPARATION BUT I DON'T LIKE SCREDDED COCONUT SO I THOUGHT THIS PRODUCT MIGHT BE A HAPPY MEDIUM AND TO MY SURPRISE, I REALLY LIKE IT BECAUSE IT IS SO VERSITILE. I CAN MAKE COCONUT MILK WITH A LITTLE WATER OR JUST ADD THE POWDER TO A RECIPE FOR THE COCONUT FLAVOR WITHOUT THE CRUNCH. LOVE IT.

Not very honest,

This review is from: Coconut Milk Powder, 1 Pound (Misc.)
I am a big fan of coconut products. So, I bought this product in bulk from the seller, Wilderness Family. On their website they fail to disclose that this powder contains casein-derived from cow's milk. So, it is NOT vegan.
For their lack of honesty, I will NEVER buy anything from Wilderness Family again. I now buy my coconut products from [...]This company does not sell powdered coconut milk. If you don't object to casein, this reconstitutes well IF you blend it. I found that if you add it into a soup base without blending it doesn't mix well, stays lumpy and separates. Obviously, there are environmental advantages to not shipping things that are mostly water in cans from Thailand. If any one knows of any vegan coconut milk powder please leave a comment!

Casein MSG connection,
This review is from: Coconut Milk Powder, 1 Pound (Misc.)
First, for Raw Foodist that care, this is not Raw or Vegan. You can't achieve a powder like this and be Raw. But even if this was possible, Casein is not Raw or Vegan. This product is very tasty, but it does contain Casein, a milk protein which is in the MSG family because it's free form is amino acid glutamate. Not Raw, Not Vegan, questionable at best, if it matters to you.

Great with curry sauce,

I normally use two cans of coconut milk with my Thai curry sauce and then boil down the added liquid to make a rich sauce.
I added 1/4 bag of this powder and achieved similar results without the necessity to reduce the sauce. The cost is about the same as the canned milk. At first there where lumps but with a little whisking and a little simmering, they went away.

Not a good substitute for coffee creamer,

I was hoping I could use this as a healthy substitute for powdered coffee creamer...not so! It does not dissolve very well, and my coffee was full of undissolved coconut "matter". It may have worked better if I had created a coconut milk according to the directions, but if I wanted to do that, I would have just bought canned coconut milk for a much lower price. Sorry!

This review is from: Coconut Milk Powder, 1 Pound (Misc.)
i am wanting a nice baking substitute to powdered milk and soy powdered milk....low and behold i thought i found it....BUT, it has casein!!! which is the very protein that is so offensive in dairy products...seriously?!! why not just have milk!! products like this are very deceiving...i do not like that!i think i'll pass, on the sheer ridiculousness of the product....
