This review is from: Cocoon Cotton Double TravelSheet (Sports)
After a recent stay in a very unclean hotel room with stained sheets I decided that the next time I travel it will be with such a sleeping-bag like product to avoid germophobia disrupting my sleep.
After a bit of research and a recommendation from a friend who also uses one of these, I ordered the double size TravelSheet. This friend travels a lot for business and told me that she never leaves home without one. She advised me to go with the cotton versus the silk as - according to her - the silk TravelSheet tended to wrap too tightly around her body at night. Since I also tend to turn and shift position a lot during the night I decided to follow her advice and order the cotton one. Due to me moving around a lot in my sleep I went with the double size. I hate nothing more than feeling confined. This TravelSheet fits the bill perfectly. The width is great with plenty of wiggle-room and the length generous enough to where I won't come into contact with hotel sheets if I don't want to. I am also quite happy with the quality. Seams are double-stitched, and gussets reinforced - it feels like good quality which will last a long time. A few minor design weaknesses prevent me from giving it 5 stars: A) The Velcro closure is only on one side of the sheet, yet this particular product is marketed as ideal for two people (I personally would find it too small to share for people like me who have "motion issues"). I couldn't help but wonder how the person on the non-velcro'd side would manage to get out of the sheet during the night if the need arose. B) The pocket for the pillow seems not deep enough. Basically the underside of the sheet is longer at the top end, with a small backward fold-over to tuck the pillow underneath. I will definitely get a separate pillow cover instead. C) The storage bag. It was a major effort to get this TravelSheet out of the storage bag it came in, and I will never be able to roll it this tightly again and fit it back in. I was wondering if they actually used a vacuum to get it rolled up as small as it was. So the bag is pretty much useless. All that said, I think that this is a great product which will give me much needed peace of mind in the future. BTW, I got it in khaki so to not accidentally leave it behind one day ;-).

nothing special,
This review is from: Cocoon Cotton Double TravelSheet (Sports)
If I had realized that this is nothing more than 2 cotton sheets sewn together, I would've made one myself, rather than spending all of this money. It serves it's purpose, but it's not worth the price they charge for it.

This is a giant sheet-like thing with velcro. I found it impossible to deal with and couldn't sleep in it. $44 down the drain. Save your money! I should have listened to the reviewer that warned it is just two sheets sewn together. If I were shown to a hotel room with stained sheets, like the positive reviewer was, I would call immediately and ask for clean sheets or change rooms. I bought this before a trip to China because I was afraid I might encounter some not-so-nice hotel rooms. I have travelled to many developing countries and never encountered bedbugs. My advice (to myself as well) is to inspect the bed for bed bugs before you unpack and just look at the sheets! (If there WERE bedbugs, you would likely bring them home in these sheets if you didn't pay the hotel to wash them first.) I think I was just succumbing to fear-inducing advertising when I bought these and now have buyer's remorse.
