I recently got this, the most recent production by the Venezuelan duo Masseratti 2lts and I am amazed at how the electronic downbeat team of brothers (one in Caracas, one in Paris) keep outdoing themselves.

Traditionally, their sound was more lounge-like. With the exception of a few downbeat tracks, "Coctel #5: Cacao Mujer y Beats" brings them a step closer to house music. Still, their signature samples of women voices in a variety of languages throughout the tracks is there for fans of their previous work.

This easily ranks among 2006's best albums. If I may, and unless you want the actual album in your hands, I suggest you get it through iTunes, to save yourself a few bucks.
