I bought this alarm because it was simple and didn't have too many features. I wanted something basic. When it arrived, I was particularly pleased by the keyfob remotes. They are very small and sturdy. Since they are the part of the alarm I will have the most contact with, I was impressed by the quality and ergonomics. The alarm by itself will flash your parking lights, sound the siren, and disable the starter with the included relay. If you have electric door locks (or have added them) it will interface with them to lock/unlock with the remote. It comes with a valet switch and LED. It does not come with any pin switches so if you want to protect your hood or trunk you'll need to buy those, but it does have connections for them. The vibration sensor is internal and has programmable sensitivity. Some other features have programmable settings but the defaults are sensible. There are two booklets, one for the user and one for the installer. The installation booklet expects you to be an experienced installer. If you are not electrically savvy or have never installed an alarm before, you'll need help. I am quite happy with my purchase, this is a well-made product with the features I want. Code Alarm is part of Audiovox and their website was where I found information before purchase.

Esta alarma es de fácil instalación si se sigue al pie el manual de conexiones y por el precio que pagué creo que vale la pena comprarla. Por supuesto hay alarmas más sofisticadas con diversas funciones que ésta obviamente no tiene ya que es muy básica, pero cuando un ladrón quiere llevarse o robar el auto, lo hará asi sea con los mejores dispositivos de seguridad que posea el vehículo.

This is a very well made, and full of features remote alarm. The package includes two remote clickers, and all parts needed to install the unit, including wiring diagram; however, you need to find the corresponding wires on your specific car, which could not be easy. It will take an hour or two to install, depending on your level of expertise, and how fast you can locate the various wires on your vehicle (wiring diagram for you vehicle will be very helpful here). However, if you do not have basic electric / wiring knowledge, you may want to line up some help, or leave it to a professional installer.

Aside from the Alarm, it has a remote Lock / Unlock / Panic / Car Locator / Engine Shut-Off (Anti-Highjacking) / Starter Interrupt functions.

Most functions are programmable, for instance, you can program it to automatically lock your car 15 seconds after exiting and closing the doors, if you unlock but no door is opened, it will lock after 15 seconds, and so forth. The Impact sensitivity is also adjustable.

This is a very good remote alarm at a very good price with a lot of features. You can spend a lot more for similar products.
