Many books have been published about the Laws of Manifestation like "The Secret" and "The Power of Intention." But I consider the works of Tony Burroughs, especially this book (as well as "The Intender's Handbook" and "Highest Light Teachings") the road map, the "how to" manuals to actually being able to manifest things in your life that are for the highest good. And Tony's style of writing is down to Earth, fun, and easy to read and understand. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book.

I am a high school teacher who regular shares the insights contained in Tony Burroughs books with my students. In fact, last May I gave a copy of Burrough's "Intender's Handbook" to many seniors as graduation gifts. I also gave that book to many family members and friends this last Christmas as Christmas gifts. I believe in the content contained in Burrough's books so much and want to excitedly share it with others!

"The Code," Mr. Burroughs latest as of March 2008, contains some of the information presented in "The Intender's Handbook" and "Highest Light Teachings" without being unnecessarily repetative. After reading "The Code", you may want to consider reading his aforementioned, non-fiction titles although they can be a bit difficult to locate--his website has inexpensive copies, though!

Get this book! Your life won't be the same. ENJOY AND TRANSFORM!

I really liked this book. It's the first thing I've read by Tony Burroughs, and it's very original. Along with others in his "Intenders Circle," he has created a Code which results in personal fulfillment while at the same time creating a better world for all of us to live in.

The code includes the following 10 "intents" which he goes on to explain in detail throughout the rest of the book:

1. Support life
2. Seek truth
3. Set your course
4. Simplify
5. Stay positive
6. Synchronize
7. Serve others
8. Shine your light
9. Share your vision
10. Synergize

Throughout the book, in addition to the text, he provides what looks like hand-written notes that contain some truly valuable information. For example, in discussing the intent to support life, he notes:

"When we realize that we are becoming exactly like those we oppose, shouldn't that be reason enough for us to stop opposing them?"

He also provides poems in each section that relate to the intent he is discussing. For instance, in discussing the third intent (set your course), he includes the following as part of a longer poem:

"Our thoughts and words are powerful. They are active and very energetic. Used unconsciously or with disrespect they bring chaos."

This is a book that will grab your intention and cause you to think about things in a new way. I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to achieve their highest good and help the rest of the world do the same.

"The Code: Use the Laws of Manifestation to Achieve Your Highest Goal" provides a new, workable solution for common daily challenges, and offers a new Code of Conduct pairing real-life stories with directions on how personal empowerment can be achieved to enhance peace and quality living. A blend of spirituality and ethics makes for a treatise that includes saying intentions out loud daily, acknowledging a greater good in the universe, and more. New age libraries will find "The Code" an intriguing addition.

This is one of the most amazing books/concepts that I've found on my spiritual quests. It really works for me & my family from materializing parking spaces, to relieving my wife's painful ear pressure (for the first time ever upon airplane descent they cleared and the whole trip back was pain free after stating my intentions for her Highest Good), peaceful resolution to a spiritual dilemma, etc. I also got the rest of Tony's materials from http://www.intenders.com/ that proved to be as awesome as the book. In the DVD, I recognized that as in any group there are many levels of understanding & abilities utilizing the process, but it seemed to work for all in attendance via their own chosen paths. Other "finds" that have recently made a difference in my life have been the movie - Celestine Prophecy, Power of Now & New Earth (books & Oprah's online series) by Eckhart Tolle and Conversations with God (movie was OK to see Neal's process, but the content in his books were transformational too). These have led me to so many other resources that provide tremendous clarity as well. Best wishes on your personal journey.

This book is full of simple wisdom! Very well organized it takes the reader step by step through the awakening of thought control to a greater experience of every day reality. Here's a book that challenges you to have faith in a higher power, someone other than yourself. Motivational and spiritual. My husband, Mark is reading the book. The Code teaches you how to think differently, more positively. In turn, things start happening around you that are more positive. A great book to read at the beach.

The Code is a clear guide to helping your orient your consciousness around the actual process the universe goes through in manifestation. Part of this acclimation is in realizing that most people have been conditioned (aka brainwashed) into perceiving the world in certain way$ and in following certain (conformist) behaviors. These conditioned behaviors are neither in your interest nor in the highest good of all beings. So part of the book is both de-conditioning and reorienting to a wider, more meaningful perspective on life.

The book outlines the ten steps in the code of the 'Intenders' as those who intend are called. These steps are 'the code' and are: Support Life, Seek Truth, Set Your Course, Simplify, Stay Positive, Synchronize, Serve Others, Shine Your Light, Share Your Vision, Synergize.

If you just wanted to know about the book you can stop reading here. I gave it 5 stars for content and it is a great book. The rest of this review is of a wider scope. And to be fair the author and those who use The Code today may not be 'Intending' their method to have as much meaning as I do. So I am going to branch out into my own ideas about the book and how it fits, or could, fit into the larger mass consciousness-change going on today. And it is very fair to look deeper at the Intenders here because they do claim to be part of 'The New Paradigm'.

If you believe in the turning of the ages (ala 2012 or The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ: The Philosophic and Practical Basis of the Religion of the Aquarian Age of the World and of the Church Universal) then you realize that each world age requires the vision of a guiding mythos and a set of codes, or principles, to live by. It feels like this book embodies the 'principles' part of this equation.

The vision of the new world age is still being worked out. Joseph Rael has done a lot of work in this area as in Sound: Native Teachings and Visionary Art of Joseph Rael as has the Sufis as in Awakening: A Sufi Experience.

The mythos part of this equation is gravitating heavily toward Gaia. This book is as near an adequate introduction to part of that mythos Not in His Image: Gnostic Vision, Sacred Ecology, and the Future of Belief but I did find it dwelling too much on a caustic decrying of Christianity instead of providing more information on the positive vision of Gaia. Terrence McKenna had much to say in this area of re-merging with nature as in The Archaic Revival: Speculations on Psychedelic Mushrooms, the Amazon, Virtual Reality, UFOs, Evolution, Shamanism, the Rebirth of the Goddess, and the End of History.

The label 'Intenders' is a little wonky. Maybe something like 'The People' or 'The Humans', phrases similar to what many aboriginals peoples called themselves, will come to the fore. When someone asked the Buddha what he was he responded 'Awake'.

We read the ten intentions on the way to work every day and it upliftingly sets our outlook for the day. Miracles do happen! We also get together with another couple to read through the book together and share our journeys. Wonderful!
