Excellent actors. Good story, very realistic, it's a winner from start to finish.

I was a real fan of the two Wild Geese films, and even though this movie has no realation to either, the title alone made me want to check it out. It is an action-packed winner from start to finish. The three leads, though given short screen time together play thier roles like real pros amongst the no talents. However, that does not hinder the enjoyment of watching. Of the three stars, Klaus Kinski in my opinion gives a better performance, though Van Cleef runs a close second. A real Friday/Saturday night no brainer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Fundamentally boring, January 14, 2005
A commando unit -designated as per the title of the movie -are sent to the Golden Triangle in South East Asia charged with a mission to destroy the opium supplies of a powerful local warlord .
The rest of the whole lamentable experience can be summed up in two lines of dialogue ,viz " In this hellhole ,everybody is at war with evryboby else " and " Hey look -grenades "
The only plot is that of several groups intent on blowing each other to smithereens ,and there is fundamentally no one to root foe as each group seems as corrupt as each other

There are some decent peformers here -Lee Van Cleef , Ernest Borgnine and Klaus Kinski (who is dubbed with a ludicrous British accent ,for no discernable reason )but they look abashed at finding themselve sin this mish mash and seemingly only concerned to know if the cheque has cleared yet .
If you are happy with non stop machine gun fire , explosions and watching bridges ,people and buildings being blown up and dont care too much about plot or characterization tghen it might be your cup of tea .
For myself I will stick to better action movies with a plot and some spectacle

1.0 out of 5 stars Un-watchable, December 1, 2007

This DVD was authored straight from a grainy cropped VHS copy and did not even have sence selection as a feature. I thought Alpha Video had some terrible prints, but this DVD tops all of them.
