Pat Springle gives incredible insight into the woven complexities of codependency, yet relates this information in a simple language easy enough for a child to understand. If you struggle with the need to control and rescue others, then this book will assist you in your education and steps to freedom. Another valuable resource is a book entitled "ESCAPE FROM CODEPENDENT CHRISTIANITY" By Dr. James B. Richards published only by Impact Ministries, Huntsville, AL 35805

Codependency seems epidemic in our country. Many have no idea what it is. But this book defines it so it can be effectively dealt with. The Bible says "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." The greatest enemy to mankind is ignorance but truth liberates. To know is to disempower the enemy. Do yourself a favor and read, then take action, then pass it on. :)

An old friend of mine found this book in her attic amongst others she had forgotten about. Because she knew I was a self help author interested in the field of codependency, she saved this book for me to read.

I found myself quickly immersed in this authors easy to understand language, and her no nonsense approach to what can be a very complex dynamic.

The author gently explores the nature of rescuers, enablers, codependents and their needs to control others. Because enablers are often times such 'nice' people, it is difficult to see the controlling sides of these well meaning people.

I recommend this book along with others like Codependent No More, for anyone wishing to delve into recovery from codependency.

Namaste...

we all need one another. that's how its suppose to work. Just don't Lord it over one another. wait for divine guidence or intervention. Gods ways are the best. Humans get a little mixed up on occasion. Stop and pray/think. What am I doing.
