PowerLoss, SoulLoss,
By A Customer
This review is from: Codependency: Powerloss Soulloss (Paperback)
Brava for Dr. Dorothy May!! PowerLoss, SoulLoss is on my bedside table, and I use it almost every day as a tool for self-improvement.When I first looked at some of the chapters, I thought this didn't apply. But then a second look convinced me that yes, I'm recovering. It's a very gentle, soothing read and gives me lots of hope for my present and future health. A must for anyone who would like to improve themselves and their relationships. You will read, re-read and highlight many excerpts from this work!!!!

A Meditation Work Book,
By maryhber@aol.com (Arlington Heights, IL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Codependency: Powerloss Soulloss (Paperback)
Usually a self-help book is either an aid to meditation or a workbook. CODEPENDENCY: PowerLoss SoulLoss by Dorothy May is both. Pages on the right side of the text seem basically explanational on first reading. Deceptively simple. However, I returned to them again and again as I engaged myself with the exercises on the left side of the text. These are guides to writing or drawing ramifications of the ideas in the reader's own life. Thus, the book incorporates a journal. "What an ingenius system!" I found myself thinking; The explanation circles around from my logical, reasoning brain into the intuitive part of me that explores my own psyche and then back to the explanation for a deeper understanding.I wonder how many such circles I shall make before the binding wears out. Two friends who recently saw the book on my coffee table pounced upon it and immediately resolved to purchase a copy themselves.

Excellent primer for therapy,
By Charles Mauter (Lincolnshire, IL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: PowerLoss, SoulLoss (Paperback)
My therapist recommended we use this book to enhance my counseling sessions.I found the format extremely useful. The fact that I had "homework" kept me focused on the spiritual and psychological growth that I was experiencing and greatly enhanced the counseling sessions. This book is a wonderful addition to one on one counseling and it gives the client and the therapist faster access to blocked and problem areas. I highly recommend its use.
