Book Description

“If I had to die, I wanted it to be doing something I loved, with a man who wanted to fly me to the moon.”

By day, Nina Poppins is a professional flight attendant, who lives to travel, and isn’t afraid to chase her dreams. By night, she’s an award winning Salsa dancer who wears sexy corsets and garter belts. She wants to keep her two lives separate, but Liam Mikin knows her secrets.

Liam Mikin is a co-pilot used to getting any air-hostess he wants with one blazing look of his blue eyes. And he wants Nina. But Nina is adamant she won’t end up as another notch on a pilot’s wingtip.

However, fate intervenes when their airplane malfunctions on a routine flight to Samoa, stranding all the crew on the Pacific island. Liam has his opportunity to prove to Nina he’s not what she thinks, but he wasn’t counting on competition in the form of an engineer. Nikolai Rivers dances as well as Nina and is linked to Liam’s past. As Nikolai fights for Nina’s affections, Liam is forced to face what happened all those years ago.

Being island-wrecked in a five star hotel is anything but relaxing. Fraught with male egos, dancing, and secrets, both Nina and Liam aren’t ready for what fate has in store.

(Jets and Joysticks will be coming soon)

Wow, I really did not like the surprise twist! And I can't believe I'm the only one!! Every review I read mentioned how great and mind-blowing the twist in this book was, and it definitely made me want to read this book. I usually love twists. I love trying to guess what it will be throughout the book, I love the surprise once it's revealed, and I love the OHH! moments when you go back and see all the little hints the author dropped leading up to it. But I did not like this twist!

What I did really like was the first half of this story; the part before the twist. It was a sweet story about two people who fall in love on an exotic island. What's not to love? I have an aversion to books where the couple seems to fall in love in the blink of an eye without even knowing each other, so I liked that their relationship took the time to develop. I wanted to see evolution of their relationship and their struggles to follow their dreams while staying together, and I thought that's what the story was building towards.

Then the twist hit. Boy, was it a twist. I will give Ms. Hart that. I absolutely did not see that twist coming. But I didn't like the direction of the story and the actions of the characters after it, and I definitely did not like the actual twist. It's hard to completely explain why I didn't like the twist without spoiling the story, but I have to say that it's funny how the section of the book entitled "Reality" throws reality completely out the window (and not in an exciting, paranormal romance sort of way). I will admit that my dislike of the twist in this story is a personal preference -clearly, since everyone else seems to love it.

This is the second book I've read this year that I've got to say is a must read. It was a fabulously long book, but every part of it was needed and wanted. I found myself in awe as reality sunk in for both of the characters.

This book is in three sections. First, Pre-crash, we learn about Nina Poppins and Liam Mikin, a first-time airline attendant and co-pilot of a commercial airplane. Nina has secrets that she didn't think anyone else knew, but so does having a crush on her for almost a year. He watched as she accomplished major things in her life, one of which was getting her PPL (her personal pilots license). When she brings him a coffee and guesses right the first time how he likes his coffee, he knows it's destiny that they get together.

The next section is Post-crash and they crash on a Samoan island. They get off the plane, no one is majorally injured, but since the airline wouldn't be able to get another airplane to them for six days, it was like a mini-vacation for the rest of the crew. It's the time for Liam to make his move on Nina.

But all is not that they thought. The next section is called Reality...what really happened. I can't go any further, because what happened after the crash will leave you in awe.

I loved this story...a story of new love, of heartbreak and of a medical miracle between two people so close, even though they just met. You'll be crying in this section, wanting so desperately for everything to work out. Anyone who can't believe in the power of the mind and body, and who gives this book a one star review, didn't read the book and doesn't believe in miracles.

I whole-heartedly give this book 5 stars! I'd give more if I could!!

1.0 out of 5 stars OMG who let this book get published? May 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I don't expect great literature when I download light smut reading, BUT this book was ridiculous. Who really wrote this? Sybil had to have wrote this book. It felt like a kindly grandmother with Tourette's wrote the romantic and sexy scenes. Flowery words and feelings, then crude terms were inserted for emphasis, then a 12 year old with terrible sentence structure gave some help, and topped if off with a 16 year old's compilation of analogies. Yikes! Help me with a viable excuse-is English the author's second language. Was something/everything lost in translation?
I wanted to like this book. The only thing Jade Hart had going for this book was the storyline, even though unbelievable I was willing to let it play out. I persisted to my own frustration and dissatisfaction. The hopelessly optimistic reader in me waited for my payoff. I'm still waiting!!!
Is it romance or science fiction or action or all 3?
She mentions 20 drafts of this cliche riddled pulp. I literally drowned in metaphors reading this painful train wreck. That's right, I avoided the plane crash reference. I just could not avoid this wreck of a book.
My final few thoughts: Jade Hart get a better Editor or new literary friends to guide you and read your book out loud to hear how it reads. Why was this book purposely chosen for marketing on one of my free ebook sites? Lastly, for the love of the written word-please think before publishing!!!!

What a great way to escape from the chaos of my everyday life and jump into this amazing story. Hot and sexy romance with a great twist. I love a book where I can't guess every little thing that is going to happen - and that's hard to do in a romance.

This book is like taking a vacation without having to leave to comfort of your reading nook.
