5.0 out of 5 stars Thank goodness for SF creamer I can hide at work.
If all of our creamers or coffee flavorings were rated by their good-for-you factor, we would probably have to stop drinking simple coffee to begin with. (I've also used the sf vanilla syrup, which doesn't have the same creamer effect; to achieve that you'd have to add another dairy product, which defeats the purpose for some specifically restricted diets like mine.) (I...

2.0 out of 5 stars Tastes Great - Bad Filling
This stuff tastes great but after doing some research, it's got a bunch of fats that are not considered healthy. The first item on the list (which means that it is the highest mass ingredient) is partially hydrogenated oils. If you have any problems with cholesterol, I suggest talking to your doctor..... Or maybe you might want to be like many Americans and just...

5.0 out of 5 stars Thank goodness for SF creamer I can hide at work., March 30, 2008
This review is from: Coffee-Mate French Vanilla, Sugar-Free Powdered Coffee Creamer, 10.2-Ounce Units (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
If all of our creamers or coffee flavorings were rated by their good-for-you factor, we would probably have to stop drinking simple coffee to begin with. (I've also used the sf vanilla syrup, which doesn't have the same creamer effect; to achieve that you'd have to add another dairy product, which defeats the purpose for some specifically restricted diets like mine.) (I don't have to worry about fat content, though.)

On my planet, I'm just really happy to have found a sugar-free alternative to the coffee creamer I thought I'd have to give up forever. The powdered form guarantees that I can take this to work without having it stolen from the community refrigerator (and for the fat-conscious people who don't want to give up their creamer, there is a lowfat/fat free version out there). The sugar free version doesn't stray too far from the original vanilla Coffeemate. The only complaint I have is that Amazon doesn't carry the SF liquid vanilla version that I can keep at home.

Coffee in and of itself can be a guilty pleasure (caffeine, added sugar, dental stains...); I would recommend this product to anyone who wants the effects of a regular powdered creamer who has very strict natural sugar limits.

4.0 out of 5 stars not quite dairy, June 10, 2011
This review is from: Coffee-Mate French Vanilla, Sugar-Free Powdered Coffee Creamer, 10.2-Ounce Units (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
Excellent powder creamer. Tastes great and cuts calories and carbs.

The review that said the lower calorie and carb counts only came from smaller portions is innaccurate. It is true that portions are smaller, but that is because the flavor is mroe intense, so you add less for the same effect. not to mention, if you add the same amount, the calories don't change and the carbs are cut in half. If you stay with suggested portions this creamer cuts calories in half and brings carbs from 9 per serving to 2 per serving.

This stuff tastes great but after doing some research, it's got a bunch of fats that are not considered healthy. The first item on the list (which means that it is the highest mass ingredient) is partially hydrogenated oils. If you have any problems with cholesterol, I suggest talking to your doctor..... Or maybe you might want to be like many Americans and just increase your Lipitor dosage so we can enjoy these tasty but potentially unhealthy creamers. Godspeed.

I love the fact that you can get this product with Splenda. Wish they offered other flavors with Splenda . Now if they could cut down on
the oil it would be a great product.

Not much to say about it, it's non dairy creamer, no need to refrigerate so it won't spoil like milk, half & half or creamer. It tastes good too. No it probably isn't the healthiest stuff to use in your coffee, but it is convenient.

The liquid creamers are the best, but in a pinch or when traveling, the powdered creamers are pretty good. The Sugar Free Vanilla Caramel is almost too sweet though.
