This is the re-branded version of Coffee People's Donut Shop blend, a nice flavored brew that is still strong enough to use as that first cup in the morning but flavorful enough to enjoy anytime. A very versatile blend: Donut Shop, Obama, and McCain blends are identical.

Don't know if the boxes will ever be collector grade, but they are great fun and sometimes, exciting conversation pieces as well! Just enjoy the coffee, it is the one great constant in these days - let's hope THAT doesn't change.

Hey folks -- If you'll read all the previous reviews written by "the frankenstein " and M kooiman you'll see that their blurbs have nothing to do with the coffee. Mkooiman in her previous review indeed stated that the Mc Cain coffee and Obama coffee are the same--- and very good.

I chose these pods because the price was right.($9.00/24 cups) I bought both the Mc Cain and Obama blends. They both taste the same. (no intended political humor) The coffee is medium to light bodied.

The title I submitted above says it all! If you have one of these machines, you know how expensive the K-cups are. Normally these run about $10-15 depending on where you go and whether you have a coupon for 18 cups. Here you get 24 individual coffee cups for $9 and it's super saver free shipping elgible. Who care of it's got the face/name of the former candidate running?!

^^ I have to be honest about the reason why I got this. It has nothing to do with my political view. I just got them because 1) they were cheap 2) Obama blend was back-ordered. Once the election was over, Amazon put them on 20% sale. That comes out to 33 cents per pod which is not bad.

Taste itself... I would rate it over average but nothing dramatic. It is a re-labeled donutshop coffee and it is that. It really tastes like donut shop coffee. Not really nutty, not really tongue kicking strong, not really different... yet it's pretty good. Perhaps I should try it at 8 oz setting instead of 10. anyway, I am satisfied and perhaps will save one pod for my grand, grand, grandson to remind him of the huge change in American politics.

I knew these reviews would rapidly descend into insipidity (look it up morons). I will skip the easy and ridiculous jokes and say that I found THE ACTUAL COFFEE to be quite good. I am certain the grounds in both packages were from the exact same enormous batches of coffee and taste pretty much identically.

What I want to know now is:
If I can't afford to buy any, will the government buy me some of that obamanation flavor? I think I understood that he plans to take care of us po' folk.

I saw this and the Obama coffee before the election. I was about to write a political review for the Obama coffee (you know, turns red once in office, etc.) but thought the better of it on principle.
This product has two features. The concept- have political themed coffee K-cups - was probably not one for the marketing textbooks. How could the product get fairly reviewed on a consumer-driven site like Amazon.
The other feature, the coffee, is good and an excellent value as they are being closed out. The coffee is about the same as Dunkin Donuts coffee (which I use in the "My K-cup" self filling device), although it seems just a tad darker as a roast.
Both this and the Obama are enjoyed by people in my office who do not like French Roast or other dark roasts and who are not yet accustomed to the heady aromatic flavors of Sumatras or Ethiopians.
In short, either this or the Obama are good all-around cups of joe (not the plumber).

I LOVE this coffee!!! I originally bought it because it was only $9/box and I ended up buying 4 MORE boxes!! LOVE the TASTE and the price!!

This is really good coffee. I am impressed with all the Coffee People products we have purchased. It's quality stuff.
