Simply put...Wow,

This review is from: Green Mile book 6: Coffey on the Mile: The Green Mile, part 6 (Paperback)
With this novel, King concludes the wonderful The Green Mile series, and he does this with mastery and excellence. The anguish of Coffey's fate will bring the reader to tears, and the fact that he is going to die for a crime he did not commit is truly heartbreaking. In addition, the destinies of all the other main characters will engross the reader. The Green Mile is a book that has captivated this reader, and I couldn't wait to continue this fantastic series and discover the newest secrets and see how the story unfolded. What King has done here is indescribable, and it can only be hoped that the movie rendition can live up to the phenomenal The Green Mile.

This review is from: Green Mile book 6: Coffey on the Mile: The Green Mile, part 6 (Paperback)
Coffey on the Mile is the last in a series of six books entitled "The Green Mile". The green mile spoken of refers to the "mile" an inmate has to walk before coming to the electric chair. In this particular book, the guards that keep an eye on Coffey have come to the conclusion that he did not kill the little girls he was accused of killing. The guards wanted to not see Coffey escape the prison because Coffey has a power that none of them have ever seen before and he uses this power to heal a friend of one of the guards. The guards conclude that this man could never hurt anyone and try to get him to leave but Coffey says that he doesn't want to leave. He would rather die then to live in a world with so much suffering

I thought that this series was the best of any thing King
has ever done. I hope he will do more serises thrillers in
the future. I was spellbound. I couldn't stop thinking
about John Coffey. I think the books where magnifecent. I
think he might be able to get a motion picture out of this
one.
