Despite being under 30, since adolescence I have had to deal with bunions and a little arthritis on my toes (which was likely promoted by my obsession with gigantic heels). After hearing friends raving about the new trend on rocking shoes, I first bought a black sketchers shape-up mary jane for work. In terms of comfort, it was a big improvement from any other shoe I had worn to work, be it flat, low heel or high heel. However, maybe because it is a little cushiony, I still had some pain on my toes after the work day.

I was looking for something more stylish and that I could wear with caki/brown clothes for work. This Cogent model was the best looking I could find. I actually wear these shoes with my Banana Republic taupe suit, and it looks great! The sole is not cushiony as the shape-ups, which actually worked better for me, as my toes don't hurt at all at the end of the day with these shoes.

I bought a size bigger, but only because my feet have gotten much wider due to the increasing size of those darn bunions.

I really, really love them. The only thing that could improve is the style on other Cogent models, which is not as nice as the style on these. Also this model seems to be only available in beige/white, pink/white and baby blue/white, the last two not working well with my business wardrobe :)

I think you should definitely buy it!

My wife bought them.

She feels great walkin in them not more then a mile. After then she feels pain in her feet. We showed them to our orthoped and she highly recommended not to wear them. This shoes are too heavy, the sole is totaly unflexible. Foot doesn't work.

And, moreover, they are made of smooth material. If you really walk much, you'll get tired of cleaning them.
