I bought this as an experiment to see how it performed against the Esbit stove.

Initial impression was that the metal used is much thinner and more flexible than the Esbit. I also don't understand why it was painted. Solid fuel will blacken the stove anyway, maybe they thought it would be more attractive. However, the paint bubbled immediately, and it seemed pointless to have it painted.

Next, I put in the fuel, and opened the stove to the narrower of two positions to accommodate a camp pot. About 5 seconds later, one side of the stove collapsed, spilling water all over the place.

I tried again, and it collapsed again, so I opened it full sized, and delicately balanced the pot.

At this point, the stove worked as designed, and boiled my water in a reasonable fashion. However, I would not be able to use this stove with several of my other camp mess equipment.

The price is OK, and the fuel tablets are much less expensive than Esbit - but the stove is built a little too cheaply.

I liked this stove. Very small and lightweight, perfect for backpacking. With 2 fuel pellets I boiled 2 cups of water in less than 10 min. It was about 55 degrees that night. i was supprised how much flame I got out of it. Not fancy but a good bare essential stove that is small and light and really works.

This stove is small enough to fit inside my mess kit. It is light-weight, making it perfect for camping. I'm particular about my coffee, so having this little stove is perfect for making a cup of coffee in the a.m. The smaller size cubes are just right for boiling the water. I loved it so much that I bought a second one to put in my 72-hour emergency kit!

This stove will burn different solid fuels.I use sterno in it and the stove is great to use camping.I give it five stars cause it does what a stove does and it is lightweight but if your going ultralight you might find something lighter. This is a great camping stove.

I just received the emergency stove. First thoughts - it was hefty. Steel is not lightweight so be warned. Tried to get the thing to open when I found out the hexamine tablets were preventing it to be flipped open. I had to shift the tablets to one side to open. That's one thing to be mindful of. The tablets and stove are packed tight. There's also a protective grease film on the product so wash your hands later. I figured out that there's a dimple to hold the flaps open or closed which is pretty sturdy locking mechanism. No one mentioned that in the reviews or description. Just don't go overboard with a dutch oven monster. There are 3 positions - open, half-open, and closed. The half-open setting can accomodate probably a 2.6oz can of sterno. If using a soda can alcohol stove, try to stay within 4cm height (1.6in).
I would recommend this product.

I like cooking over a campfire for main meals, but bought this for first thing in the morning to make a pot of coffee and boil water for my instant oatmeal. It works great for this. Open to the full open position it holds my 6 cup bialetti stove top espresso maker no problem, and easily holds my tiny mess kit pot. It does lock into both positions, though I have not cooked with it in the tilted position. I'm not sure it would hold a large pot and certainly would concentrate the heat too much in the middle of a larger pan, but if you have a tiny pot and pan set it's more than sufficient. I wouldn't just leave a pot on it though, I think this sort of thing needs to be babysat as the pan is rather close to the flame, and it's an emergency stove, not an everyday stove. I'm not a serious hiker /camper so wanted something cheap, and bonus-fuel is included... No complaints here.

While this stove is not designed for heavy use it is good for emergencies or a short backpacking trip to warm up stuff. But if you are looking for something to cook a lot on please note that a tablet will burn for about nine minutes. If that will work for you I think it is a fine stove to tuck in a pack.
