This is a nice signal mirror, better than I expected. Real glass, and the center grid is reflective. It has instructions on back. Comes as pictured and with foam cover. I notice the packaging states model #9902; however the foam sleeve states #9900. Made in Japan.

I opted for this glass mirror instead of an acrylic one despite the fact that it's more fragile. The best acrylic mirror I could find had 90% the reflectivity of glass, many were lower. That means this mirror can be seen at least 11% farther. If I get stranded in the bush I'd rather a better chance of being seen and have to wrap it more carefully.

It comes with a foam wrapper that most will want to replace. The lanyard hole is large enough for paracord unlike some other brands. The instructions are written on the back, but, as with any survival equipment, one best know how to use it before hand.

Overall, I'm quite pleased with this mirror and plan on picking up a few more as Christmas gifts.
