This review is from: Cognitive Science: An Interdisciplinary Approach (Hardcover)
This is an informative book, and a rather nice one. I didn't like the author's prose, but that really is a matter of taste.
Don't expect to learn anything deeply technical or to start doing Cog. Sci. research after reading this -- this book will actually show you where to go if you want to start working with Cog. Sci.

This is a tour de force. Five discipines are presented, both historically and currently, illuminating the current state of the cognitive sciences and how these disciplines got to their present levels of achievement.
