3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad
This version not too bad, haven't used it too much yet. I pretty much had to upgrade to this from Money 99 as I am running Vista 64bit operating system & it wouldn't allow installing of Money 99 on it. I have used 99 for years, very used to it. I am from New Zealand & the Money products are not sold here any more?!! which I knew & so that's why had to buy from Amazon...

Please take note that this version is NOT the most recent release. While the progressive versions aren't "better" than Money 2004, you will find it impossible to automatically download and import financial data since this version is no longer supported. Note that this doesn't impact your ability to manually import from the websites of various financial institutions, but if you rely on the automatic updates, you will be unable to do these as the support period has expired.

This version not too bad, haven't used it too much yet. I pretty much had to upgrade to this from Money 99 as I am running Vista 64bit operating system & it wouldn't allow installing of Money 99 on it. I have used 99 for years, very used to it. I am from New Zealand & the Money products are not sold here any more?!! which I knew & so that's why had to buy from Amazon. It also doesn't allow direct upgrading from older versions that are not US versions (ie my 99 version), but could export each account from Money 99 to a Quicken file, then import these files into Money 2004. Only problem was any transfers from one account to another, show up twice in each account which stuffs it up a bit. I just did a balancing entry to get the current balance right. I think the very latest versions may not import from Quicken, but not sure about that. See: [...] You can't export/import bill payments either by the way, but not a major.

5.0 out of 5 stars Saved by amazon.com, March 11, 2009

After a near computer crash, the gentlemen who was rebuilding my computer did not realized that Microsoft Money had come as part of my computer software package. I was unable to re-install it with the rest of my programs. I went straight to amazon.com and found what I needed at a very reasonable price. I enjoy Microsoft Money for the purposes I use it for. It is very easy to use from check book entries to making reports. My tax prepartion has been so easy since I started using Microsoft Money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and efficient, November 25, 2008

This review is from: Microsoft Money 2004 Standard (CD-ROM)
This is exactly what I was looking for. Balance my check book and do it without all the bells and whistles. Often we need a program to do a simple task and this is excellent. Easy to set up for my needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars I missed this product, May 16, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I had been without Microsoft Money for about 6 months and finally installed it into this current computer I'm using. I really missed it and love being able to juggle my bills when something unexpected comes up. I'm able to see months in advance how things will look and it is a million times better than using a check register.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, February 12, 2010

Money 2004 support will expire next year. When I purchased it, I didn't realize it was not going to be supported anymore by Microsoft. I think it was expensive for a 2004, but 2007 were already discontinued. I would advise to hold off buying something that will not be supported. I will use this for awhile, than switch to another program that will meet my needs with support.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice product, June 27, 2009
This review is from: Microsoft Money 2004 Standard (CD-ROM)
I mainly bought it to my keep up with my checking account and keeping track of upcoming debits. There are probably more sophisticated versions with more whistles and bells, but for my needs, it is perfect.
