Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Cokin filters were invented by professional photographer Jean Coquin. By using square filters like Cokin's, which fit into a holder and are attached to a lens via an adapter ring, the photographer has a number of immediate advantages. There is no need to duplicate filters to fit different size lenses, up to three filters can be used at once to create unique effects, and the photographer has control over the positioning of the effect on the photograph.

This review is from: Cokin P668 M1 Fluo Graduated Filter in a Protective Case (Mauve) (Electronics)
Jean Coquin found graduated filters graduated filters toonormal and not striking enough for creative purposes, so he created asecond series. They can be recognized by the description"Fluo" (florescent) and are used as effectsfilters. Although the same color names are used as with the normalgraduated filters they produce brighter, more luminous colors inyellow, orange, red, blue, pink and mauve. These filters are usefulfor photographers who may have problems with colored polarizers ,which always tone the whole picture with one or two colors. Preciselycontrollable color moods, which formerly were rarely seen outside ofpop videos, are easy to achieve with these "fluo"filters. Technically, they are handled exactly like the othergraduated filters . They come in a weak and a strong compound colorjust like the other grad's...
