Jean Coquin found graduated filters graduated filters toonormal and not striking enough for creative purposes, so he created asecond series. They can be recognized by the description"Fluo" (florescent) and are used as effectsfilters. Although the same color names are used as with the normalgraduated filters they produce brighter, more luminous colors inyellow, orange, red, blue, pink and mauve. These filters are usefulfor photographers who may have problems with colored polarizers ,which always tone the whole picture with one or two colors. Preciselycontrollable color moods, which formerly were rarely seen outside ofpop videos, are easy to achieve with these "fluo"filters.
