I've been waiting a long time for this book to be released. I too, hope Dana is ok. What's the deal Amazon? Release some information about this please.

3.0 out of 5 stars What happened to Sue Henry?
I have read all of Sue Henry's books about Maxie & Stretch and Jessie Arnold. Loved all of them, but wondered about the last one, "End of the Road". It didn't seem like Henry was in her element when she wrote that one (if indeed she did write it!)
I wondered if she is suffering from an illness and didn't want anyone to know it. From other emails, I read that she was...

3.0 out of 5 stars What happened to Sue Henry?, February 6, 2011
This review is from: Cold As Ice: A Jessie Arnold Mystery (Hardcover)
I have read all of Sue Henry's books about Maxie & Stretch and Jessie Arnold. Loved all of them, but wondered about the last one, "End of the Road". It didn't seem like Henry was in her element when she wrote that one (if indeed she did write it!)
I wondered if she is suffering from an illness and didn't want anyone to know it. From other emails, I read that she was scheduled to make an appearance in Alaska in Nov. 2010, and that perhaps the publisher or Henry herself decided to not release "Cold as Ice" on Sept. 7, 2010 as promised. That perhaps, they decided to wait and release the book when she made that Nov booking. Well, here it is Feb, 2011 and there is nothing from Henry or her publisher regarding what her plans are. Not very nice to her loyal readers is my thoughts on this matter.
In the meantime, I have discovered another author who is Native Alaskan. Her name is Dana Stabenow, and she writes mysteries that are based in Alaska. She is GREAT !! I love her character, Kate Shugak. Kate is an Aluet Alaskan Native and lives in the middle of Alaska and is very, very descriptive of Alaska and the native cultures. I highly recommend any Sue Henry reader to read some of Dana Stabenow.

Been waiting for Cold As Ice. No books available from Amazon (except 5 overpriced ones from the Marketplace), our local library cancels our pre-publication request and can find no information no matter what search engine I try. Anyone heard?

5.0 out of 5 stars A possible answer to Sue Henry and Cold as Ice, August 12, 2011
This review is from: Cold As Ice: A Jessie Arnold Mystery (Hardcover)
I just googled "sue henry author cold as ice" and there in the listings was: Fiction_Larchives (2011) There is a possible explanation of the missing "Cold as Ice" book. It's quite possible that Ms Henry is a very private person and doesn't want to be a public person in airing the problem, in spite of her popularity as an author!

If you hungar for Alaska Mysteries while waiting for Sue Henry's book, try Dana Stabenow! Start from the beginning of her books and get the flavor of Alaska as if you were really there. Experience the cold and wind, the quirkyness of breakup and enjoy the development of the characters.
