Possibly Beck's finest EP, he takes the amazing "Cold Brains" off of the equally phenomenal "Mutations" and adds four terrific tracks, three of which stand among his very best. It's bewildering why the haunting "One of These Days" was not included on "Mutations", as it seems to fit perfectly into that CD's feel and sound. "Electric Music," quite simply, may be the most enjoyable Beck song of all time, and probably the only song in the history of music to feature fuzz guitar, harmonica and sitar.

This is the best, most worthwhile Beck single available. All 4 b-sides are fully realized and excellently produced songs... all reminiscent of the Mutations (and Sea Change) style. Everything here is high quality... Electric Music and the Summer People is one of the most fun Beck songs...this is a different recording of the song than found on the old New Pollution single, rerecorded with a full band.
