I have been using these for many years and I always have them stocked in case of an impending cold. When taken at the first signs of a cold (a little stuffy or a dry scrathy throat) these are tops.

I have found that at times my *impending* cold never materializes (A HUGE plus). You do need to take these every few hours from the first sign of illness for them to be effective so keeping some in stock is important. They don't seem to work once you have a *full-blown* cold but supposedly they will lessen the severity.

I do wish that they were sugar free. These days I try not to eat sugar in any form and so eating these gives me a bit of pause. But I have to say that they have worked so well for me for the years that I take them, that I just keep doing it...sugar or no sugar. I find the taste to be fair. Definitely tolerable altho my son will not eat them, he thinks they are not very good.

In general I do find these to be a bit on the expensive side but I can't argue witht he results I have gotten. Any cold I do not get makes the price well worth it!

Waking up in the morning and feeling that dry scratchy feeling in the back of your throat or the burning sensation in your sinuses is never fun but it no longer makes me groan in dread over the fear of being sick for a week. In the past four years I've had one cold and that was when I ran out of Cold Eeze (that will never happen again). I recommend it to everyone I see with a cold. This product works, but only if you take it at the very first inkling of a cold. If you wait, it will not work. I love this product so much that the thought of them taking it off the market makes me want to go out and stockpile it.

The cool comfort of smooth candy-like lozenges and the healing power of zinc to combat your cold. Zinc really does seem to have an effect on how long you suffer with a cold and sucking on these lozenges is at the very least, comforting.

I tried these out of desperation to fight off a cold, and they work!! I'd tried them years ago, but the gross taste had turned me off from doing it again. Fortunately, they've changed the taste which is good news.

Take them at the earliest onset of a cold - in the first day if possible. Take them every 4-5 hours and don't mix them with antibiotics or anything citrus as it negates the effects.

Coldeeze is an excellent method in fighting off the common cold - you'll find the severity and duration of your symptoms is greatly diminished.

On the first sign of a cold, I have these ready to go. I don't know how it works, don't care how it works, just know that it does. I guess it's the zinc, but if something works you stick to it. Been using these for I can't remember how long now. I take maybe 2 packs over a 2 day period to shock the cold, and it knocks it out every single time. I hate being sick, so I love this product.

...and I practically live off of it when I have a cold or especially when I fly on an airline, since the recycled air is loaded with viruses and other nasties.

Honey Lemon is one of better tasting flavors from Cold-Eeze, and it's my personal favorite.

I cannot vouch for the scientific claims the manufacturer makes, but personally I can attest that these lozenges seem to shorten the span of time a cold lingers, but you have to start using them as soon as you suspect you have a cold, if you wait too long these lozenges will be ineffective.

Also, this brand- and most zinc lozenges in general- can leave an odd aftertaste. Some of my family have also reported nausea when they use the lozenges on an empty stomach, so avoid that.

Expense is also an issue with the Cold-Eze brand- at least in chain stores, where a bag of 18 will set you back around $8.00- ouch. So it goes without saying that if come to like this brand, shop around for deals. However, I just like Cold-Eeze because of MY experience with it. You might want to even try another cheaper brand, after all, the KEY ingredient is Zinc. I'm skeptical of any claim that the Zinc in the Cold-Eeze is better than the Zinc in some other lozenge, but there could be research out there says otherwise, I don't know.

Caveats aside, give it a try, it could become a great weapon for your fight against the cold. I know it has for me.

I too have been afraid of getting a cold simply due to the fact that I am a very busy person. I hate the idea of loss of productivity, etc.
Anyway, this is perfect. I try to be as healthy as possible when I can, but if for some reason I start feeling a cold coming on, I immediately get coldeeze ASAP.
I haven't had a cold in over 2 years, except of course last year when I didn't take Coldeeze quick enough. that is extremely important, take it ASAP, don't waste any time or it will be too late. It works!!

I have found these to be extremely effective. But, unlike the other reviewers, I can take 4 or 5 for 1 or 2 days and the cold never gets "full blown". I have been taking these as long as I can remember. Maybe, this explains why the viruses "adapt" to create different starting symptoms. A couple days ago, I felt like I had a partial kernel of popcorn stuck in my throat. The next day, the stuffiness and sneezing started. But, luckily, it wasn't too late. I could not recommend any product more highly.

Seems to work for me. Once my colds get started I am headed for two weeks at least, longer if it gets into my lungs. About a year ago I started to get a sore throat and bought a box right away on impulse. I was VERY surprised that they actually worked. No other remedy has worked for me before. It seems to stop the progress of the cold from my throat into my sinuses. This is consistent with the theory that it stops the virus from propagating, allowing the body time to get the upper hand in fighting the infection. This would also explain why it is essential to start right away in the early stages of the cold. The sore throat will still last the usual length of time - a day or two.

These things may not taste the best, but they work. They aren't bad tasting either, just the zinc can make your mouth feel dry. I tried these at the first sign of a sore throat and stuffed up nose. It soothed my sore throat almost instantly. The sore throat lasted less than a day and the stuffy nose cleared up within two days. My colds normally last up to two weeks. I was feeling back to normal at around three days! I will definitely buy these again!!
