Best best DJ / electronica mix I've ever heard,
By Monkey Deathcar (Philadelphia, PA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cold Krush Cuts (Audio CD)
There are a few other reviews so I'll keep this brief: I'm not a big fan of much electronic music, but I do like some DJ type stuff, a little trance, dub, etc. and I have some of Ninja Tune's catalogue, and this is bar none the best collection of its kind I've heard. Ninja Tune has covered a lot of ground, and DJ Krush and Coldcut give you an excellent overview in these two discs. On disc one, DJ Krush covers the downtempo, abstract jazz and more hip-hop inflected stuff from Ninja Tune. I personally prefer Disc 2 by Coldcut, where they get into some of the more frenetic abstract jazz and jungle that first attracted me to the label. Whatever side of that argument you fall on, these two DJs seemlessly lead the listener through a musical odyssey that covers significant ground, always stays interesting, and carries you from Point A to a very unpredictable and welcome destination. If you at all like the Ninja catalogue (Amon Tobin, Funki Porcini, etc.) this is can't miss -- easily the best Ninja comp yet.

incredible overview of the Ninja Tune back and front catalog,
By A Customer
This review is from: Cold Krush Cuts (Audio CD)
Coldcut, DJ Food and DJ Krush team up in this amazing remix of Ninja Tune titles. The artists provide an interesting backdrop for the display of tracks by London Funk Allstars, Funki Porcini, Up, Bustle and Out, DJ Vadim, and too many others. If you have never heard of the Ninja Tune label (like me when i first got this cd) then I decree that you shall purchase this record and be transcended. -Natedonthemellophone

Dj Krush is simply the best triphop mixer out there, and this is one of his top 2 mixes... He flawlessley delves into the deepest recesses of the Ninja Tunes catalouge and produces on of the most briliant mixes ever put on CD....
