Charles Frazier's Cold Mountain is an amazing first novel.
This is the first book I've read in a long time where I've felt real anxiety about what was going to happen to the characters at the end.
Overall, I thought that this book had an interesting story plot, however it is a bit too descriptive and lacked character emotion.
