I was missing new music from Christine Lavin, one of my favorite songwriters, when a notice from Amazon appeared in my e-mail saying this CD was out. Bought it right away and play it all the time. I've always appreciated Christine's ability to be both humourous and so sardonically true 0r sad at the same time. This album does it again and I am so grateful for it.

Having seen Christine in concert several times (even predating the 4 Bitchin Babes era), she is as entertaining as ever with a mix of introspective songs, funny songs, and random zaniness (saw her exhibit her baton twirling skillz at the "big House", Wolf Trap's Filene Center,the night of the Republican convention prior to Bill's second term win). Love her in both big and small venues and on CD is just a more readily accessible guaranteed good time.

I too enjoy cold pizza for breakfast, but with Pepsi. The song is delightful. The entire album reminds me of the "vibes" between Ms Lavin and the audience at a live performance I attended in Wilmington Delaware perhaps 20 years ago. The big surprise was the commentary on H L Menken. Very much on point today. All the cuts are well done musically and intellectually.
