I got this because I really like Cold Steel folders but didn't want something too big for easy EDC, and the black-finished blades seem to have bad peeling problems.
This little beast is strong and sharp, locks up tight (somewhat too tight--it can be hard to unlock, needs two hands). The handle is a bit short (3 fingers), but nice if you choke up using the index finger choil on the blade. It is a little hard to open one-handed because it is a bit small and the finger hole is undersized, but I've gotten used to it. One caveat: The specs say 2" blade. The actual cutting edge is only 1.25" (the rest is choil). It's like a really stout utility box cutter, just fine for many chores. And small (the picture makes it look bigger than it is). I can hold it in my fist with my thumb extended and cover the whole knife, blade open, and I have small hands. Closed, it's about as bulky as a lighter--it disappears in your pocket. Great knife for very little money.

When I first received the knife I was a little surprised how small it was. I had read the information and knew the dimensions of the knife but it still wasn't what I expected. The other thing that really surprised me was how light the knife was. It feels light as a feather. I first opened up the knife and felt a distinct snap as the blade locked open. It just feels like a quality knife.

The actual cutting portion of the blade is 1 1/4". This may be a pro or con depending on who is purchasing it but it is perfectly fine for me. The blade itself feels like a scalpel. Razor sharp should be taken literaly here. A portion of the blade is rounded out for your index finger. Also there is the round cutout(for your middle finger) in the grips for your thumb to swing open the knife. My hands are average size and with the knife open, these cutouts make the knife fit my hand like a glove.

The cons about this knife are few but are worth noting. First the belt clip attached to the knife, while secure and strong, is not able to be removed and attached to the other side. So southpaws might not like the arrangement. Second, the cutout for thumb opening really should be rounded some. The grips are a little tall at that point and it makes it a little difficult for your thumb to smoothly open the knife. Someone with a steady hand and and a grinding tool could probably make quick and easy work of this.

To me the pros of this knife far, far outweigh the cons. Especially for the price. So if you are looking for a EDC knife that is small, light, sharp, and high quality, this thing is a pure bargin.

As soon as I saw that Cold Steel came out with this knife, I knew I wanted to try it out in the work place where I need to cut many things open and sometimes I have to do it around knife sensitive people working in offices and schools. Some alternatives would've been knives like the Gerber EAB which my coworker lost some time ago or a Spyderco dragonfly or similar. I got this about a week ago and I like it so much I want to get another one as backup. It has basically replaced my razor blade utility knife since its as non threatening and is much lighter. I used to have a Gerber EAB which was also a decent little knife but the handle on this is much more secure and comfortable.

The handle is actually big enough for me. 3 of my big fingers on this thing is actually quite an achievement. You can't do the "Spydie drop" easily on this triad lock design. Needs 2 hands. Opening one handed using thumb hole is slightly awkward but still pretty easy for me.

BTW, just like all CS knives, it came razor sharp right out of the box. This product is a home run for me!

This is a very small knife. The blade is around an inch and a quarter. The quality of the knife is very good and it comes very sharp. Give it a couple of strokes on a leather belt and it is a razor knife. I bought it one night to bring my purchase total up to get free shipping, glad I did its been in my front pocket everyday since as a secondary knife to my Benchmade Griptilian.

I ordered with knife for very specific purposes.
I own many knives made by Cold Steel and I am still impressed with the quality with every new purchase.
Like anything else you need the right tool for the job.
I needed a small pocket knife with a straight easy to sharpen edge.
One that would be tough enough to back up by razor knife on loading docks.
Something that could easily cut through seals on trucks, plastic strapping and cardboard corners on pallets.
This knife does all of that perfectly.
I see reviews about the knife being smaller then they thought it would be from the picture.
The picture are enlarged to better help you see details. the dimensions are listed.
When in doubt I get out the ruler.
When the knife arrived it was exactly the size i expected it to be.
This is a great knife for anyone who needs a sharp, dependable knife that is non threatening in appearance.
