I have had this knife for over 5 years. I bought it when I was in the Marine Corps, and it traveled all over the world from Kuwait to Korea. I sharpened it once with an Arkansas stone, and only after considerable use. It holds an edge like no other blade, Cold Steel makes some of the best knives out there. I have the black blade, straight edge.

for the price, the handle should not be rather cheap-feel plastic.
actually not sure how manly the plastic is, but fact that is plastic is not a welcome sight.
I expected the handle to be metal, or 1/8" thick plastic or something solid.
It is a good knife, good blade, sharp, definitely sharp, but again, the handle kind of takes away from it.'
Would I buy it again? --- probably, but I would look towards the sister version that is more expensive ----geez, but that one was really expensive!
It's a plastic handle!!! I am still getting used to that idea. For the price I expected something other than plastic. Did I emphasize enough?

I am a knife collector, and believe me when I say that Cold Steel makes the best knives in the world. I have had this knife for about a month now and could not be happier. It is so sharp!!! The design is not only cool looking, but functional too. I greatly reccomend this knife to anyone wanting an all purpose knife. Even if you decide not to purchase this one, I'm sure cold steel makes one to fit your needs.
