Product Description

Cold Steel’s new Double Agent neck knives possess a significant set of advantages worth noting. Designed by Zach Whitson, with either a Karambit or Clip Point blade style, they’re thin, flat, and super light (a little over 3 ounces including sheath). This makes them easy to conceal and very comfortable to wear. Their most audacious and notable feature, however, is their double ring handle design. Slip an index finger through the front ring nearest the blade and your pinky finger through the rear ring and close your fist to obtain a forward grip and vice versa for a reverse grip.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good knife, October 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cold Steel Double Agent II Md: 39FN (Sports)
I bought this blade to use as a multi-purpose knife to attach to my PFD or other jackets for a quick access knife.

Obviously it's got a point unlike other river knives but I wanted something for multi-purpose.

I like the handle a lot - will stay in hand nicely even if cold and wet.

The sheath is ok - takes a little getting used to but holds the knife well.

I wish the sheath had a clip on the back - only has holes for tying to a vest or something.

Strong blade.

I like it.

3.0 out of 5 stars good knife horrible sheath, June 13, 2011
This review is from: Cold Steel Double Agent II Md: 39FN (Sports)
I carry this knife daily, and the steel/blade is 5 stars hands down. I love cold steel and own several of their products. The problems with this knife are several. First the finger hole next to the blade is cumbersome, and impedes the transver of grips. I always feel like I'm going to drop the knife or cut myself (with this knife the razor edge it is a real problem). Outside of this the knife is great. The sheath is just crap. First its plastic, less then a month of owning it, the sheath is already seperating. The knife does not slide into the sheath well and you have to hold it properly so that it will go in, making it virtually impossible to wear on the hip. Now I know that it is suppose to be worn around the neck but if this is the case the chain is too long and so the knife sits on your belly. It is just not comfortable, and there is no way to add it to a hip/belt sheath unless you have a custom sheath made for it. So yes its a good knife and I use it a lot but the sheath is just crap.

4.0 out of 5 stars Knife is very nice - great price, June 17, 2011
This review is from: Cold Steel Double Agent II Md: 39FN (Sports)
Knife is very nice. I'm big guy >6' / 240 lb; knife has a wide blade for a neck knife. I really like the grip- very secure feel and prevents blade flipping. Grip does limit holding positions, but I'm ok with that. This is a last resort knife for me. I had the back side of the blade one inch from the tip sharpened for two way cutting.

The sheath is very secure, it takes practice to remove knife. I wear the sheath with release latch facing in (blade facing left). Right hand removal-use pointer finger to push release toward you. Then pull down. At first, used tip of thumb to push off edge of release button to remove knife. Note: After >30 removals release button will work better. Currently I have not figured out how to put knife away with on hand. Knife is difficult to return into sheath also due to having the blade back sharpened. I am very careful and put it away outside the shirt. From Runamuck *** review. I removed 5" of chain for a higher better under the shirt fit.

The knife is very sharp out the box. Has a 3" blade legal in the city I live in.

Friends' Cold Steel knives are awesome and money well spent.

Other knives I use / have: for reference:

_ Scimitar Spike, blade length is too long for city law, moved to G.O.O.D. bag. LOVE this knife! The knife & sheath are amazing.

_ Cold Steel G.I. Tanto 80PGT Fixed Blade Knife, <$30 took on a tactical camping trip. What can I say; basic, looks like it was cookie cutter stamped out. Weighs 11oz. try it out. Just as good for me as my $80 Gerber i retired after the trip- save the weight & your money.

_ Kershaw 1660 series for pocket knife / daily use.

_ Kershaw: Antelope2 camping, hiking - replaced sheath with kydex

_ Sharpener currently use in field. Smith's $9 on Amazon
